Wendell Carter Jr. W. Carter

Chicago's Wendell Carter Jr. (thumb, knee) examined on Wednesday

Chicago Bulls power forward Wendell Carter Jr. had an MRI on Wednesday after injuring his thumb and left knee.

What It Means:

Head Coach Jim Boylen said on Wednesday, "It sounds like the thumb issue is the bigger concern." If the thumb or knee injury were to cause Carter Jr. to miss time, expect Bobby Portis and Robin Lopez to see more minutes.

In 44 games this season, Carter Jr. is averaging 10.3 points and 7.0 rebounds.
