Austin Rivers, Rockets reportedly agree to deal
Free agent guard Austin Rivers will sign with the Houston Rockets, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.
What It Means:
Rivers was waived by the Phoenix Suns last week after being acquired from the Washington Wizards. He could see an immediate role while Chris Paul (hamstring) is sidelined and will likely take minutes away from Brandon Knight and Michael Carter-Williams.
Rivers averaged 14.8 FanDuel points over 29 games (two starts) for the Wizards this season, with 7.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.6 steals, and 1.1 triples in 23.6 minutes per contest.
