Washington Wizards point guard John Wall scored 40 points (16-of-27 field goals, 4-of-8 3-pointers, 4-of-6 free throws) with 6 rebounds, 14 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks, and 5 turnovers in 42.1 minutes of a 128-110 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

What It Means:

Wall had 28 points and 8 assists by halftime alone in what was one of the best performances of his career. The points are a new season-high and he's handed out 13-plus helpers in each of the past three games. The Wizards visit the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday.
