Suns reportedly releasing Isaiah Canaan
The Phoenix Suns are releasing point guard Isaiah Canaan, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Canaan started 15 games for the Suns and just logged over 20 minutes on Tuesday in a close loss, so this comes as a surprise. Devin Booker will continue to handle point guard duties for the Suns, while Elie Okobo, De'Anthony Melton, and Mikal Bridges should also all see a boost with Canaan out of the rotation.
Canaan averaged 15.9 FanDuel points in 19 games for the Suns this season, with 7.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.6 steals, and 1.3 triples over 26.5 minutes per contest.
