Elfrid Payton (ankle) will not play on Monday for New Orleans

New Orleans Pelicans guard Elfrid Payton (ankle) will not play on Monday versus the Toronto Raptors.

What It Means:

Payton had hoped to make it back from an ankle injury on Monday, but the point guard will remain on the shelf for one more game. He will have a better shot at playing on Wednesday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. New Orleans will likely keep Jrue Holiday at the point with Wesley Johnson remaining in the starting five.

Payton has averaged 11.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.4 assists, and 29.0 FanDuel points per game this season.
