Sixers' Markelle Fultz could start games, but come off the bench in second half
Philadelphia 76ers guard Markelle Fultz is likely to open the season as the starting shooting guard but could come off the bench to start the second half of games.
Coach Brett Brown wants to keep Fultz in the starting lineup but has been toying around with the idea of bringing the 2017 number-one overall pick off the bench to start the third quarter of games. Brown feels the move will get Fultz a few extra minutes as the point guard in the second half in place of Ben Simmons. J.J Redick would start the second half alongside Simmons.
Our models project Fultz for 10.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.0 three-pointers in 26.7 minutes per game this season.
