3 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 5/7/16

In order to roster some expensive players, you'll have to find other places to save salary.

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you'll need to find one of these lower-priced options to squeeze everyone into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three guys who can help fill the gaps in your lineup.

DeMarre Carroll, SF, Toronto Raptors

FanDuel Price: $4,800

DeMarre Carroll came up big in Game 2 with 36.5 fantasy points against the Heat. Carroll has benefited from both games in the series going to overtime. While that likely won't happen again, he is still in line to play close to 35 minutes.

He shot the ball 13 times last game on his way to nine times his cost (points per $1,000 in salary). Don't expect him to repeat that tonight. A more reasonable target would be six time his cost.

On DraftKings, Carroll is only $4,300 which makes him maybe the best play at any position.

Shaun Livingston, PG, Golden State Warriors

FanDuel Price: $4,800

He's back! Shaun Livingston has been incredible with Stephen Curry out of the lineup and it doesn't look like it will be stopping tonight. Livingston has kept his streak alive of at least five times his salary in every game this postseason.

He is priced really high on DraftKings, so I'd be wary of him on that site but on FanDuel, full speed ahead.

Livingston should be a lock to score you fantasy points in the high twenties and saves you salary to spend up at other positions.

Harrison Barnes, SF, Golden State Warriors

FanDuel Price: $4,400

Harrison Barnes has seen a nice little boost in value with Curry out as well.

The small forward position tonight is not pretty at all. You have to save money somewhere and Barnes offers some of the best value of the night.

He has shot well this series after multiple poor showings in the Houston series. In Game 1 against Portland, Barnes was also able to haul in 12 rebounds while scoring 10 points.

I'd be happy to pair Barnes and Carroll together on FanDuel and spend up elsewhere.
