3 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 4/2/16

Nikola Mirotic has been red-hot lately, what other low-priced players should you target tonight?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you'll need to find one of these lower-priced options to squeeze everyone into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three guys who can help fill the gaps in your lineup tonight. Of course, remember to check our projections closer to tip because so much can change in the NBA throughout the day.

Nikola Mirotic, SF, Chicago Bulls

FanDuel Price: $5,300

Nikola Mirotic has been on fire recently, putting up at least 28 points and 38 FanDuel points in back to back games. The only downside when considering playing him is that his minutes have been sporadic due to the injuries to Chicago's frontcourt. Since returning from his injury in the beginning of March, Mirotic has played over 24 minutes six times and less than 28 minutes seven times.

In the six games of 28-plus minutes, he is averaging 34.5 fantasy points per game, a value 7.19 times greater than his salary (points per $1,000 in salary), and has never dipped below 5.4 times his salary. In the seven games of less than 28 minutes, Mirotic is averaging 12.4 fantasy points, a value of 2.54 times his salary and hasn't exceeded 4 times his salary even once.

Taj Gibson is going to try to play tonight, but his status is still uncertain. If he suits up, that will hurt Mirotic's value some, but he has been so good recently that I'd expect him to play more than the apparently magic number of 28 minutes regardless of Gibson's status.

Darren Collison, PG, Sacramento Kings

FanDuel Price: $5,800

Darren Collison will join the starting lineup for the Kings tonight as Rajon Rondo rests again. Collison has been fantastic whenever Rondo sat out this season and he'll have another opportunity tonight. While the $5,800 price tag isn't extremely cheap, it does allow you to save a little bit of money and acquire a player that is safe.

Rondo has missed five games this season, which is crazy because the Kings have listed him as questionable for almost every game. In those five games, Collison is averaging 36.8 minutes, 15.8 points, and 8.2 assists. That has been good for a value of 6.17 times his salary.

E'Twuan Moore, SG, Chicago Bulls

FanDuel Price: $3,900

E'Twaun Moore is an interesting play tonight if Derrick Rose is in fact sidelined. The shooting guard position isn't great tonight so Moore could be a good way to fade the position. He will see a lot of minutes and should be a great play if he draws the start for Rose. There is obviously uncertainty around him, but hey, that's why he's just $3,900.

Last time Rose sat out, Moore put up 30 fantasy points on his way to a 6.8 times value.
