3 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 4/1/16

Shane Larkin has been great since joining Brooklyn's starting lineup. What other low-priced players should you target tonight?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you'll need to find one of these lower-priced options to squeeze everyone into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three guys who can help fill the gaps in your lineup tonight. Of course, remember to check our projections closer to tip because so much can change in the NBA throughout the day.

Shane Larkin, PG, Brooklyn Nets

FanDuel Price: $3,900

Shane Larkin has taken over the starting point guard role for Brooklyn. Since joining the starting lineup five games ago, he is averaging 26.3 fantasy points a game. That may not seems incredible, but he is also priced at just $3,900 tonight.

If he were to score his average tonight, that would be a value of 6.7 (points per $1,000 in salary), which would make him a great player to own. Larkin may not be an incredible asset as far as real basketball goes, but for daily fantasy, he is an appealing option at this price and workload.

Courtney Lee, SG, Charlotte Hornets

FanDuel Price: $4,300

Courtney Lee has quietly been fantastic lately for daily fantasy purposes. Only one time in his last five contests has he paid less than six times his salary. Lee is playing around 30 minutes a game, but if Jeremy Lin -- who missed last game -- sits out again , Lee may see 35-plus minutes of playing time again tonight.

Lee's ceiling probably isn't as high as some would like it to be, but his floor is definitely higher than almost anyone near his price range. In fact, looking at his last 12 games, he has been under 4.3 times his cost just two times. In those 12 games, he is averaging 5.7 times his salary.

Kosta Koufos, PF, Sacramento Kings

FanDuel Price: $3,900

DeMarcus Cousins picked up his 16th technical on the season, which has led to a one-game suspension that will be served tonight. This will allow Kosta Koufos a chance to log major minutes for the Kings. Koufos isn't too valuable in fantasy terms unless Cousins is on the sidelines.

However, when Cousins does sit out, Koufos is a lottery ticket for daily fantasy owners. In the last two games without Cousins, Koufos is averaging 35 minutes, 12.5 points, and 11 rebounds. At just $3,900 in salary, he will have a great opportunity to out perform his price tag.
