4 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 3/18/16

Willie Cauley-Stein has been getting more playing time and looks to turn that into production.

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you'll need to find one of these lower-priced options to squeeze everyone into your lineup.

Let's take a look at four guys who can help fill the gaps in your lineup tonight. Of course, remember to check our projections closer to tip because so much can change in the NBA throughout the day.

Tim Frazier, PG, New Orleans Pelicans

FanDuel: $3,500

Tim Frazier is expected to get the start again for the Pelicans after a successful debut on Wednesday. He is a minimum salary on FanDuel, and last outing, he went off for 33 fantasy points. He may not be quite that good again, but he doesn't have to come close to that production to be a good value. He scored 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 9 assists last time out and will have a good opportunity to score at least five times his price tag (five points per $1,000 in salary).

C.J. McCollum, SG, Portland Trail Blazers

FanDuel: $6,400

C.J. McCollum's salary has dropped a lot, and I'm not really sure why. Just a month ago he cost $7,300 on FanDuel. McCollum just went off last night for 40 fantasy points and will look to repeat that performance tonight against the Pelicans. Our algorithms have him projected for about five times his value tonight.

Amir Johnson, PF, Boston Celtics

FanDuel: $3,800

Amir Johnson has paid five times and nine times his price tag in the last two outings for the Celtics. The forward is definitely not a safe bet, as he failed to reach even 10 fantasy points in the five games prior. But his $3,800 cost will allow you to pair him with some high-priced stars. Following his 33 fantasy points on Wednesday night, Johnson will take on the Toronto Raptors tonight. Our projections have him pegged for 17 fantasy points, which would be right around four and a half times his salary.

Willie Cauley-Stein, PF/C, Sacramento Kings

FanDuel: $3,800

Willie Cauley-Stein has been getting more playing time toward the end of the season as the Kings want to see what he can do. He has paid at least five and half times his salary in three of the last four games. Coming in at just $3,800, Cauley-Stein is a great option for you to save money with. As of right now, we have him as the number-one value play on FanDuel at more than six times his price tag.
