Daily Fantasy Basketball Injuries and Updates for 3/16/16

Find the best value for your daily fantasy roster by knowing the latest injuries and updates.

In daily fantasy basketball, every edge matters.

One of the easiest ways to find an edge is to understand what happens to a team when injuries occur. Who stands to benefit? Who might struggle as a result? That's all vital information during the lineup-building process.

What should you know about tonight's slate of games? Let's break it down.

As always, you should make sure to double-check our NBA Player News page before finalizing your lineup.

The Definites

Pau Gasol is still out, which means that Taj Gibson will continue to see a lot of minutes. Last game, Gibson played 35 minutes while he racked up 13 points and 10 rebounds. He will continue to be a valuable asset while Gasol misses time. Nikola Mirotic is a pretty good option tonight as well and will likely see over 30 minutes again.

Kristaps Porzingis said that his body isn't 100% yet, but he does plan to play tonight. Porzingis is an interesting option for tonight's game against the Warriors, but this news mainly just crushes Derrick Williams' upside.

The To-Be-Determined List

Lance Stephenson did participate in the team's shootaround this morning and could suit up for tonight's game. The Grizzlies are a mess right now, and it is very tough to predict who they will play -- especially because the Grizzlies were just beaten up by 49 points last time out. But if Stephenson does play, they will most likely run him at least 30 minutes. If he sits out again, the rest of thrown-together Memphis backcourt will benefit. More specifically, Briante Weber and Ray McCallum.

Nikola Vucevic hasn't officially been ruled out yet, but he hasn't played in the last five games. Last game, the Magic started Dewayne Dedmon, but he was extremely unimpressive. Jason Smith, on the other hand, racked up 25 points and 13 rebounds. Smith has been inconsistent in Vucevic's absence, but the upside is clearly there as he showed last night.
