Daily Fantasy Basketball Injuries and Updates for 2/29/16

Find the best value for your daily fantasy roster by knowing the latest injuries and updates.

In daily fantasy basketball, every edge matters.

One of the easiest ways to find an edge is to understand what happens to a team when injuries occur. Who stands to benefit? Who might struggle as a result? That's all vital information during the lineup-building process.

What should you know about tonight's slate of games? Let's break it down.

As always, you should make sure to double-check our NBA Player News page before finalizing your lineup.

The Definites

Danilo Gallinari is expected to be out for three to four weeks. Denver has been inconsistent with playing time all year, but Will Barton should see a bump in for the next month. With Gallinari off the court so far this year, Barton has a 27.7% Usage Rate, per NBAWowy.com. While Barton will likely benefit the most, Gary Harris and Darrell Arthur should see part of Gallo's 35 minutes a game as well.

LeBron James will play. This isn't surprising news at all because his absence in Sunday's game was listed as a standard rest day. But still, James is active for tonight's game against Indiana.

The To-Be-Determined List

When Rajon Rondo is unlikely to play, Darren Collison is a clear target. That was the case on Friday, and Rondo is again listed as questionable for tonight's game against the Thunder. This is a very attractive matchup that has the highest, by far, game total at 228 points. Rondo has missed three games this year, and in those games, Collison has averaged 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 10 assists per game across an average of 41.6 minutes. Collison will be a very popular pick tonight if Rondo can't go again. Rondo sat out of shootaround this morning, which is not a great sign for his status.

Rudy Gay is questionable for tonight's game in Oklahoma City as well. If Gay sits, Omri Casspi will likely benefit the most with a boost in minutes. However, it is worth noting that if Gay and Rondo sit out tonight, DeMarcus Cousins has an insane 42.5% Usage Rate with them both off the court. Mix that with a very fast-paced game against the Thunder, and Cousins has an opportunity to put up a monster game tonight. Like Rondo, Gay also sat out of the morning shootaround.

C.J. Miles is doubtful for Monday's game against Cleveland. He has missed five of the last six games, and now Rodney Stuckey is back in the mix as well. With Miles out, Monta Ellis and Stuckey will have a chance to stay productive for another game. If and when Miles does come back, the backcourt in Indiana will be pretty crowded.
