Yesterday's Perfect NBA DFS Lineups: Thursday 3/5/15
With only two games on the slate last night, there was only so much value to go around. To put things in perspective, yesterday's perfect lineups were more than 150 points lower than both the DraftKings and FanDuel perfect lineups from Wednesday's ridiculous slate. With that said, there were still a number of players who stepped up and exceed value last night.
Although he was unable to record his fifth consecutive triple-double, Russell Westbrook continued to dominate in the absence of Kevin Durant. Despite not reaching double-digit rebounds or assists, Westbrook was able to score 40-plus points for his third consecutive game, dropping 43 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals in a heart-breaking loss against the Bulls.
Much of the reason why Chicago was able to pull this game off were due to the heroics of Nikola Mirotic and E'Twaun Moore. Mirotic continued his outstanding play with Taj Gibson sidelined, scoring 26 points with 8 boards, two blocks and an assist. Meanwhile, Moore was forced into an expanded role with Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose both on the shelf and did not disappoint. Moore scored a career-high 19 points with 4 rebounds, 2 steals a block and no turnovers. Moore also hit this game-winning three with only two seconds left on the clock in order to break the hearts of the Thunder fans.
In the second game of yesterday's slate, the Blazers took it to the Mavericks thanks to huge games from Nicolas Batum and Robin Lopez. Batum grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds to go along with 15 points and 6 assists while Lopez scored 13 with 7 boards and 3 blocks en route to an impressive win against Dallas.
Tonight's 12 game slate should provide us with much more parody and significantly higher scores than last night did.
