Giannis Antetokounmpo Under 51.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-113)
The Milwaukee Bucks host the Detroit Pistons tonight in a matchup between one of the league's best teams versus one of its worst.
Detroit has some fun pieces to build around, but they still stink, sitting 29th in defensive rating and 28th in net rating. Milwaukee, meanwhile, ranks first in defensive rating and fourth in net rating. The result is the Bucks being favored by 13.0 points.
Giannis Antetokounmpo can go nuts in any matchup -- especially one as soft as this one -- but I worry about the blowout risk today. The Bucks have played just one game that was decided by more than 12 points, and in it, Giannis logged a season-low 27.6 minutes, although he absolutely nuked the Houston Rockets for 44 points, 12 boards and 3 dimes.
He could do something similar tonight in abbreviated minutes, but our model is backing the under, as we project him to total 31.8 points, 11.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists -- a total of 49.5.
Keegan Murray Under 2.5 Made Threes (+100)
Keegan Murray has made at least three triples in every NBA game he's ever played in -- which amounts to four games -- but there are reasons to like the under today on his made threes prop.
Murray is facing the Charlotte Hornets, and Charlotte has done a nice job limiting three-point tries, giving up a three-point attempt rate of 35.8%, the eighth-lowest clip. Murray has hoisted at least six threes in every game, but we project him to take just 4.9 three-pointers tonight.
There's also reason to think Murray can't keep shooting quite as well as he has. So far, the rookie is making 41.9% of his three-point tries. DARKO has him as an expected 33.9% shooter from deep.
Our algorithm forecasts Murray to make 1.9 threes tonight, and I love the +100 price we're getting.
Bradley Beal Over 1.5 Made Threes (+115)
Bradley Beal is taking on the Philadelphia 76ers, and he should be able to get up some threes.
The 76ers are surrendering a league-high 44.7% three-point attempt rate. That gives Beal's three-point outlook a boost as he's typically not a high-volume shooter from beyond the arc. Through six games, he's taken more than five triples just twice.
Beal hasn't been making them at a good clip, either, hitting 30.8% from three. But he's a career 37.2% shooter from deep, and DARKO projects him as an expected 35.6% shooter from three based on the underlying numbers.
We have Beal projected right at this line, pegging him to make 1.5 treys on 4.7 attempts. With a +115 number on the over and a -142 clip on the under, I'll take my chances on the over.
