NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Wednesday 4/6/22

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at two players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Ish Smith, PG, Washington Wizards ($4,400)

Ish Smith is crushing it right now for the Washington Wizards and is a top value option tonight.

Smith has played 20 minutes or more off the bench in each of his last five games and has posted at or above 1.00 FanDuel points per minute in all five. He's crushing it right now -- it's really that simple. At under $5,000, Smith should continue to be one of the best value options until the season ends. He's up against the Atlanta Hawks, where the over/under is set at a big 234.0 points with a 10.0-point spread.

Despite a larger spread, Smith is still projected for 30.02 minutes and 30.6 FanDuel points, making him the second-best value option on the slate. This shouldn't come as a surprise because the Hawks are very average against point guards, allowing 47.00 FanDuel points per game to the position.

Dwight Powell, C/PF, Dallas Mavericks ($4,900)

On a slate where you want to pay up at guard and forward, Dwight Powell offers value at center tonight.

Since there's no elite center on the slate, paying down at center is a viable option and ultimately helps with roster construction. Powell comes in with a modest 17.3% offensive usage rate but is producing a solid 1.06 FanDuel points per minute. That production per minute is the second-highest among the Dallas Mavericks' starters, behind only Luka Doncic.

The Mavericks (30th) are the slowest-paced team in the NBA, while the Detroit Pistons (13th) are in the top half. This is a solid pace-up spot for them and a decent game environment with a 218.5-point over/under and an 8.5-point spread.

The Mavericks still have plenty of motivation to play because they are fighting for playoff seeding, putting Powell in a spot to see plenty of minutes. He's projected for 27.64 minutes and 27.0 FanDuel points, making him the second-best value option among centers tonight.
