3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Tuesday 2/8/22

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Blake Griffin, PF/C, Brooklyn Nets ($5,200)

The Brooklyn Nets have a number of players out tonight, and that opens up plenty of value options. James Harden, Kyrie Irving, Nicolas Claxton, Kevin Durant, and LaMarcus Aldridge all out.

Blake Griffin should be the starting center for the Nets and comes in projected for 29.94 minutes and 29.5 FanDuel points. Griffin is set to be one of the most popular players on the slate since the Nets are shorthanded and his volume of minutes should be very secure.

He'll be going up against the Boston Celtics, where the over/under is set at 213.0 points and the spread is at 8.0 points. Griffin has posted 25 FanDuel points or more in three of the last four games, and with his minutes locked in tonight, he is a strong value option.

Justice Winslow, SF, Portland Trail Blazers ($4,500)

The Portland Trail Blazers have made a number of trades, and this changes their rotation of players.

Justise Winslow was recently traded to Portland over the weekend, and then the Trail Blazers had another big trade today. This leaves their available players down to only nine, and it puts Winslow in a spot for plenty of minutes.

That should come in handy versus the Orlando Magic, who are allowing 49.67 FanDuel points per game to opposing power forwards, which is dead last in the league. Winslow is listed as a small forward but will likely be lining up at power forward due to the lack of active players for the Trail Blazers.

This matchup has a solid 221.0-point over/under and a 1.0-point spread, setting this up to be a strong fantasy environment. All of this gives Winslow a projection of 28.99 minutes and 28.99 FanDuel points, making him the second-best value option among small forwards.

Dwight Powell, C/PF, Dallas Mavericks ($4,600)

The Dallas Mavericks have a soft matchup against the Detroit Pistons and offer some value options.

With no Kristaps Porzingis, Dwight Powell becomes a value option to target. The Pistons are right around the league-average against centers this season, allowing 52.98 FanDuel points per game. This bodes well for Powell, who has posted 27 and 29 FanDuel points in the past two games, both of which had Porzingis out.

While this game has a modest 212.0-point over/under, the matchup and the production are there for Powell given the Mavericks' current rotation of players. Powell is projected for 34.15 minutes and 30.5 FanDuel points, making him the fourth-best value option on the entire slate.
