NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Monday 1/24/22

Garrett Temple is set for an increased offensive role tonight for the Pelicans. Who else can you look to roster?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at two players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Garrett Temple, SF, New Orleans Pelicans ($3,600)

With Brandon Ingram ruled out and Devonte' Graham questionable, the New Orleans Pelicans offer some value tonight.

Removing one high-usage player such as Ingram is always going to change what an offense is going to look like, but removing two players leaves things a bit up in the air for the Pelicans. This is where we could see Garrett Temple in the starting lineup and set for plenty of production against a shorthanded Indiana Pacers' lineup. Temple is projected for 29.87 minutes and 21.5 FanDuel points, which makes him the top overall value option on the slate.

Although he's projected under 1.00 FanDuel points per minute, Temple would be exceeding his salary-based expectation if he hits that mark. He can not only hit that mark but also exceed it. His matchup against the Pacers is set to be one of the better ones of the day for fantasy production. It has a 215.5-point over/under and a close 3.0-point spread.

Joe Ingles, SG/SF, Utah Jazz ($4,000)

The Utah Jazz are going to be significantly shorthanded tonight, putting Joe Ingles in a great spot.

Donovan Mitchell is out, Rudy Gobert is out, Bojan Bogdanovic is questionable, and Mike Conley's status is to be determined. Removing four starters from an NBA lineup is a massive blow to their production, but it also opens up plenty of value options. This is where we turn to Joe Ingles, who is projected for 30.01 minutes and 21.7 FanDuel points. That projection puts him as the third-best value option at shooting guard, but he's the best option among options under $5,000.

This game against the Phoenix Suns has a slate-high 222-point over/under but a 10.5-point spread. However, with the Jazz missing so many players, Ingles should be locked into plenty of minutes. Hopefully, he'll knock down some threes along the way.
