3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Friday 1/14/22

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Jordan Poole, PG/SG, Golden State Warriors ($5,100)

Both Klay Thompson and Gary Payton II are out for the Golden State Warriors, opening up some minutes for other players.

Jordan Poole should be stepping into the starting lineup tonight and is projected for 32.09 minutes and 31.2 FanDuel points, making him the third-best value option on the slate. He's projected so highly since this game has a very strong 224.0-point over/under and a very close 3.5-point spread. When we account for these players being off the court, Poole has a solid 28.4% offensive usage rate and is producing 0.94 FanDuel points per minute.

Poole comes in with six three-point attempts or more in five of his last six games, giving him a strong scoring upside. The close game and the shooting upside for Poole should make him a popular value option among guards tonight.

Buddy Hield, SG/SF, Sacramento Kings ($5,100)

Buddy Hield loves to shoot three-pointers.

At 9.3 three-point attempts per game, Hield is sitting as the fifth-highest in the league, and he does that all off the bench for the Sacramento Kings. That's right, he's not a starter and is still among the league leaders for the most three-pointers attempted per game, and that gives him immense scoring potential. That should be at the forefront tonight versus the Houston Rockets, where we have a massive 238.0-point over and features both teams that are top six in offensive pace.

The Rockets are allowing the sixth-most (13.4) made three-pointers per game, creating what could be the best possible matchup for Hield. He comes in projected for 28.10 minutes and 26.4 FanDuel points, a level he can certainly exceed if he gets hot from downtown.

De'Andre Hunter, SF, Atlanta Hawks ($4,200)

De'Andre Hunter is back from an injury and is a value option to consider tonight.

Hunter returned the other night and was able to post 22.2 FanDuel points in only 24 minutes of action. That's very encouraging after being out since the early portion of the season, but ultimately, it was only 24 minutes. We'd like to see him play a bit more, which will increase his value if he can maintain that production rate per minute.

He will be taking on the Miami Heat, where the total is set at 221.0-points and a close 4.5-point spread, which should allow him to reach full fantasy value tonight. He's projected for 28.15 minutes and 21.9 FanDuel points, putting him in the top 10 for best value options among small forwards.
