3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Wednesday 12/1/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Monte Morris, PG, Denver Nuggets ($4,800)

The Denver Nuggets are dealing with a ton of injuries right now and that should lead to plenty of minutes for Monte Morris.

As of now, the Nuggets are going to be without P.J. Dozier, Nah'Shon Hyland, Austin Rivers, and of course, they are still without Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. This means the Nuggets are going to be left with essentially four guards tonight, putting Morris in a spot to see a ton of minutes and production. He will be up against the Orlando Magic, who are allowing 46.45 FanDuel points per game to point guards -- 16th in the league.

In the Nuggets' current starting lineup, Morris is producing 0.92 FanDuel points per minute on an 18.3% offensive usage rate. He has taken double-digit field goal attempts in 8 of his last 10 games and 3 or more three-point attempts in 9 of his last 10 games. With the Magic in the bottom 10 of the league for the most three-pointers allowed per game (13.1), Morris is in a spot for some scoring upside.

Armoni Brooks, SG, Houston Rockets ($3,800)

A slight change in their rotation and a few injures opens up value on the Houston Rockets.

Both Jalen Green and D.J. Augustin are out for the Rockets and this has led to some extra minutes for Armoni Brooks. Over the last four games, Brooks has played 17 minutes or more in each one and 20 minutes or more in three of the four games. This is a clear increase compared to his playing time before, which was under 10 minutes or no minutes in nearly every game.

Brooks comes off the bench for Houston and what's important to note is that he plays a good amount of his minutes when Kevin Porter Jr. heads to the bench.

When Porter is on the court, Brooks has a 12.7% usage rate and is producing 0.76 FanDuel points per minute, very modest numbers. But, when Porter is off the court, that jumps up to a 16.2% usage rate and is producing 1.03 FanDuel points per minute. That is when we see Brooks have the most value, and he can get there when he is taking six three-point attempts or more as he's done in each of his last four games.

Chimezie Metu, C, Sacramento Kings ($4,400)

Chimezie Metu continues to be a solid value option for the Sacramento Kings.

With 10 field goal attempts or more in 6 of his last 10 games, Metu is an option we can be considering on a nightly basis. He plays about 25 minutes per game, is under $5,000, and is producing 1.02 FanDuel points per minute this season. He's checking every box for a value play and should be able to continue all of that versus the Los Angeles Clippers.

The over/under for the game is set at 216 points, which is the third-highest on the slate.

With both teams in the top 12 of the league in offensive pace, it won't be a surprise to see this game hit the over on that total, and that should plenty of extra of opportunities for Metu to rack up fantasy points and reach value.
