NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Tuesday 11/23/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at two players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Alec Burks, SG/SF, New York Knicks ($4,500)

With Derrick Rose listed as questionable, the New York Knicks offer some value tonight.

Alec Burks is generally one of the first players off the bench and normally shares the court with Rose, who is averaging slightly more than 10 field goal attempts per game. Burks and Rose usually come on to replace Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier. So, if we account for Rose, Walker, and Fournier all being off the court, Burks sees an increase of 9.2 percentage points in his offensive usage.

Considering Burks is already taking six-plus field goal attempts in nine of his last 10 games, the scoring upside is there for him. Add in the potential for extra opportunities, and Burks has a chance to exceed value in a big way.

The matchup is fantastic for him versus the Los Angeles Lakers, who are allowing the 11th-most (40.24) FanDuel points per game to shooting guards.

Burks is already taking a decent amount of shots on a nightly basis when he comes in off the bench. With the potential for an increase in his shot volume versus a weak defense, he is looking like a fantastic value option.

Ivica Zubac, C, Los Angeles Clippers ($5,500)

If you want value at the center position, look to Ivica Zubac.

While the Los Angeles Clippers' offense is centered around Paul George and Reggie Jackson, Zubac has been very productive lately and has a phenomenal matchup versus the Dallas Mavericks. Over his last 10 games, Zubac has posted at least 26 FanDuel points eight times. That is a truly strong level of production on a nightly basis -- yet Zubac often goes overlooked. That should not be the case tonight versus the Mavericks, who are allowing a staggering 60.73 FanDuel points per game to centers, the most in the league.

This game has a modest 209.5-point over/under and a 5.5-point spread. That's not amazing, but we've seen four of the last six Mavs games hit the over.

This is absolutely a matchup you want to attack, and with Zubac producing 1.11 FanDuel points per minute this season, he should continue to be a solid fantasy option.
