3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Friday 11/5/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Drew Eubanks, C, San Antonio Spurs ($4,400)

As the new starting center for the San Antonio Spurs, Drew Eubanks is in a spot to provide plenty of fantasy value.

After Jakob Poeltl went into the league's COVID protocol, Eubanks stepped into the starting lineup and went for 19 minutes and 25.5 FanDuel points against the Dallas Mavericks. Ideally, we'd see his minutes a bit higher since he was so effective while on the court, but exceeding fantasy value is always a positive. Eubanks should be able to reach and exceed value yet again since he has a favorable matchup versus the Orlando Magic. This season, the Magic are allowing the 13th-most (52.88) FanDuel points per game to centers.

The more minutes Eubanks will be out there, the better it will be for his fantasy value due to the soft matchup. This game is only sporting a 213.5-point over/under, but it has a close 3.5-point spread. It has a good chance to hit the over since six of nine games have hit the over for the Magic and four of eight games have hit the over for the Spurs. A higher-scoring game will always lead to plenty of extra fantasy production for all involved.

Davion Mitchell, PG, Sacramento Kings ($4,000)

Davion Mitchell has been playing serious minutes for the Sacramento Kings and is a clear value option.

Even though Mitchell is coming off the bench for the Kings, Mitchell is an option worth considering. He has 24 minutes or more in seven of the eight games this season and is often the first player off the bench. Despite being a rookie, Mitchell is fully integrated into the Kings' rotation and that has led him to produce 22 FanDuel points or more in four of the eight games this year.

He has a juicy matchup against the Charlotte Hornets tonight, where we see a slate-high 231-point over/under and a close 2.0-point spread. On top of that, both teams are in the top 10 of the league in offensive pace this season. This should create one of the best fantasy environments on the entire slate. The Hornets are also in the bottom half of the league for the most FanDuel points allowed per game to opposing point guards, yet another fact going in the favor of Mitchell tonight.

Bobby Portis, PF/C, Milwaukee Bucks ($4,700)

The Milwaukee Bucks are still without Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton, opening up plenty of playing time.

Let's start with the easy stuff, Portis is projected for 25.65 minutes and 27.9 FanDuel points, which makes him the second-best value option on the entire slate. Why is he so highly projected? His minutes are secure with the current injuries on the Bucks, he will be up against the New York Knicks, who are in the bottom half of the league against centers this season, and both teams are in the top half of the league in offensive pace.

At $4,700, Portis is shaping up to be one of the best value options among big men and has shown recently with 24.5 FanDuel points in 19 minutes and 25.6 FanDuel points in 22 minutes. Any time we have a bench player who is regularly taking double-digit field goal attempts, we can always look to him for some scoring upside and thus plenty of fantasy value.
