NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Friday 6/18/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at two players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Jordan Clarkson, PG, Utah Jazz ($5,200)

Jordan Clarkson has posted fewer than 20 FanDuel points in each of his last two games but remains a top value option tonight.

The Utah Jazz are down 3-2 against the Los Angeles Clippers and if they are going to force a Game 7, Clarkson needs to add in some more scoring. Having fewer than 20 FanDuel points in each of the last two games is a rough look when Clarkson has played 29 and 30 minutes, respectively. He has shot 8 of 24 (33%) in the past two games combined, truly average numbers. Clarkson has a career field goal percentage of 44.3%, a full 11% higher than what he's posted in the past two games.

With Mike Conley on track to return to the lineup tonight, there's a very slight chance Clarkson goes "overlooked". Now, I say this because we are dealing with a two-game slate and there are only so many options on the board, but it's logical to think if Conley is back, there will be fewer offensive opportunities for Clarkson. However, in the five-game series against Memphis in the first round, Conley and Clarkson both played in all five games and Clarkson scored 20 FanDuel points or more in every game. Conley's availability actually has no impact on Clarkson's potential fantasy production.

Reggie Jackson, PG, Los Angeles Clippers ($5,500)

Reggie Jackson is a plug-and-play option tonight, don't overthink it.

The Clippers are coming off Game 5 where they didn't have Kawhi Leonard in the lineup due to an ACL injury. Jackson stepped up to the tune of 32.9 FanDuel points in 36 minutes, exceeding his salary-based expectations. This is what we are expecting from him tonight, as he is projected for 33.67 minutes and 28.6 FanDuel points. Yet again, going under 1.00 FanDuel points per minute but still exceeding salary-based expectations.

This game has a modest 220.5-point over/under but a very close 2.5-point spread, putting things in a spot for plenty of back and forth action. We have also seen three of the five games in this series hit the over, another sign this game is in a spot to enable plenty of fantasy scoring.
