NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Tuesday 6/1/21

Kyle Kuzma is set for a larger role with Anthony Davis likely out tonight. Who else should you look to build around?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Kyle Kuzma, SF, Los Angeles Lakers ($4,300)

With Anthony Davis unlikely to play tonight, Kyle Kuzma should be in the starting lineup.

Another day, another injury for the Los Angeles Lakers, and that means we can look to them for some value tonight. Kuzma has regularly joined the starting lineup when Anthony Davis has been out this season, so it's safe to assume he will be there tonight. In fact, when Davis is off the court, Kuzma is holding a 22.8% usage rate while producing 0.95 FanDuel points per minute.

Although this game only has an over/under sitting at 207.5 points, Kuzma should be in for plenty of fantasy production against the Phoenix Suns. Kuzma comes in projected for 33.58 minutes and 22.7 FanDuel points, making him the third-best value option on the slate and the top value among small forwards. We're dealing with a small three-game slate and a very clear injury situation, so expect Kuzma to be mega chalky tonight.

Austin Rivers, SG, Denver Nuggets ($4,500)

With a new role on the Denver Nuggets, Austin Rivers has recently found his way into fantasy importance.

Rivers has been in the starting lineup for each of the four games in this series against the Portland Trail Blazers, and that is where we should be seeing him tonight. In these four games, we've seen Rivers post a nice ceiling of fantasy points, but he has also shown a low floor. While this isn't ideal for some formats, embracing that type of variance is what you want for tournaments since Rivers can exceed value quickly.

He has shown that by going for 21 and 31 FanDuel points in two of the four games in this series while being held to only 12 FanDuel points in the other two games. With a strong 226.0-point over/under and a close 2.0-point spread, this game environment should be very fantasy-friendly.
