NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Monday 5/24/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Robert Covington, PF, Portland Trail Blazers ($4,600)

With only two games on tonight's slate, the value options are limited and it should make some players very popular.

It's no secret that we are going to see some very chalky options tonight with only two games, one of which should be Robert Covington from the Portland Trail Blazers. He is the second-highest projected power forward, set to go for 31.87 minutes and 25.7 FanDuel points, which has him exceeding salary-based value. Covington's fantasy value has always come from the fact he has been able to fill up the stat sheet in a variety of ways, ahead of pure scoring. That should benefit him tonight since the game clocks in with a 227.0-point over/under and a close 1.5-point spread. Look to roster Covington if you are trying to spend up at point guard or center tonight.

Tyler Herro, SG, Miami Heat ($5,100)

If the Miami Heat are going to tie up their series versus the Milwaukee Bucks, they are going to need some more scoring.

The Heat lost Game 1 109-107 and only had two players score over 20 points. That will need to change in Game 2, and hopefully, it comes from Tyler Herro. He managed to post 18.9 FanDuel points in 19 minutes in Game 1 while shooting 2 of 10 from the field. Producing nearly 1.00 FanDuel points per minute while having that bad of a shooting performance is actually encouraging.

The volume of shots was there for Herro, and if he was able to knock a few more down, he would've blown past his salary-based value. That is what we could see from him tonight, since the three-point upside is always there for him, especially in this matchup. The Bucks finished the regular season allowing 14.9 made three-pointers per game, which was dead last in the league. If Herro can get the shot going, there is nothing holding him back tonight.
