3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Tuesday 5/11/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup

Malachi Flynn, PG, Toronto Raptors ($5,000)

The Toronto Raptors have six players listed as out tonight, opening up plenty of value.

With the Raptors eliminated from the playoffs, they will be resting a number of players and that means their bench players are in for plenty of minutes. They find themselves at 12.5-point home underdogs against the Los Angeles Clippers but the overall game environment shouldn't be an issue for Malachi Flynn, who is expected to be the starting point guard tonight. He comes in projected for 34.52 minutes and 28.7 FanDuel points, making him the fourth-best value option among point guards.

We could see Flynn push past that projection since the Clippers are allowing the 11th-most (48.03) FanDuel points per game to opposing point guards. Even though this is an 11-game slate, Flynn could be popular due to his minutes being so secure and it being a surprisingly strong matchup.

Aaron Gordon, PF, Denver Nuggets ($3,900)

Aaron Gordon is expected to return to the Denver Nuggets lineup and is a clear value option.

Gordon missed the Nuggets' most recent game and is set to return tonight in what is a very soft defensive matchup. He will be taking on the Charlotte Hornets, who are allowing the second-most (48.91) FanDuel points per game to opposing power forwards this season. There's nothing better than returning to the lineup, having a very easy defensive matchup, on top of being a great value play in NBA DFS. That is what we have with Gordon, who comes in as the fourth-best value option on the entire slate, projected for 27.70 minutes and 25.6 FanDuel points.

While this game only has an over/under of 219 points, Gordon is very affordable, has a favorable matchup, and doesn't need to produce massive numbers in order to reach or exceed value.

Aleksej Pokusevski, PF, Oklahoma City Thunder ($4,400)

With Aleksej Pokusevski back in the lineup for the Oklahoma City Thunder, we'll look to roster him in DFS.

Pokusevski has been a popular value option throughout large portions of the season and will continue to be one with so many players out for the Thunder. He will be on the road to take on the Sacramento Kings with a 224 game total and both teams in the top 12 of the league in offensive pace. While Poku is listed as a power forward, he could actually line up as the small forward for the Thunder, which puts him in a good spot. The Kings are allowing the 11th-most (42.31) FanDuel points per game to small forwards, giving him a soft matchup.

Combine all of this together and we see Poku projected for 26.53 minutes and 25.3 FanDuel points, making him the third-best value option at power forward tonight.
