3 NBA Player Prop Bets to Target on Thursday 4/22/21

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways, from taking advantage of them straight up (to the tune of cold hard cash) to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy basketball. Here we'll focus on utilizing our projections and a slew of other tools to help make money betting player props.

For this article, we are using the odds provided at NBA Finals odds to pinpoint spots where value can be had tonight.

Please note that betting lines and our player projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

Miles Bridges Under 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (+138)

Miles Bridges is taking on a Chicago Bulls defense that doesn't concede many three-point tries. The Bulls give up a three-point attempt rate of 36.4%, which is the fifth-lowest in the league. The Bulls surrender only 2.4 made treys per game to small forwards.

Bridges has been on fire from deep lately -- there's no doubt about that. Across his last four games, he's made 16 triples, hitting at least three in every game and shooting 47.1% from deep in that time. But for the year, Bridges is making only 1.7 threes per night and is hitting 39.5% from beyond the arc.

He's due to regress, and when you couple that with the difficult matchup against the Bulls, I lean toward the under.

Admittedly we project Bridges to hit 1.7 three-pointers today. But with the over at -178 and the under at +138, I'll roll the dice on the under.

Nikola Vucevic Over 2.5 Made Threes (+104)

On the flip side of that game, the Bulls get to face a Charlotte Hornets defense that allows a ton of three-point attempts.

The Hornets give up a three-point attempt rate of 45.9%, which is the second-highest. Opposing frontcourts are averaging 7.5 made threes per night on 20.3 three-point attempts per game against Charlotte -- both of which are the second-most.

Nikola Vucevic has hit at least three treys in eight of his last nine games. We project him for 2.6 made threes, and with the over more appealing than the under (-132), I'm backing Vucevic to make at least three triples today.

Jayson Tatum Under 28.5 Points (-116)

The Phoenix Suns are a rough matchup for Jayson Tatum. Phoenix sits fifth in defensive efficiency, and they allow the eighth-fewest points per game to power forwards (19.8) for the season. Plus, this is a pace-down spot for the Boston Celtics.

None of that is good for Tatum, who is averaging 25.8 points per contest for the season. He's been all over the map with his scoring of late, netting 14, 44, 14 and 32 over his last four.

Our model projects Tatum for 26.1 points versus Phoenix, so we see good value on the under.
