3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 3/30/21

Marcus Morris has been consistent for the Clippers and is still very affordable. Who else should you consider on this four-game slate?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Deni Avdija, SF, Washington Wizards ($3,600)

At nearly the minimum salary, Deni Avdija could be a key source of value tonight.

With only four games on tonight's slate, it will be a bit tougher to find value and the value that we do have could be very chalky. It's OK to eat the chalk sometimes, especially if that player has a path to upside, which is what we see with Avdija tonight. He played 31 minutes last night and posted 23.1 FanDuel points against the Indiana Pacers. We could see that level of production tonight since the Washington Wizards are taking on the Charlotte Hornets, who are allowing the second-most (44.81) FanDuel points per game to opposing small forwards.

We also see the Hornets allowing the third-most (14.7) made three-pointers per game by their opponents, granting Avdija a path for upside. In the 11 games since the All-Star break, Avdija has taken three three-pointers or more eight times. While he can struggle to hit them consistently from downtown, the volume of attempts is there, and the soft defensive matchup is very much worth attacking tonight.

Devonte' Graham, SG, Charlotte Hornets ($5,300)

Devonte' Graham has been a consistent option since re-entering the Charlotte Hornets' starting lineup.

After LaMelo Ball was ruled out for the season with a wrist injury, Graham rejoined the starting lineup and has been productive in nearly all of the games. He has posted 26 FanDuel points or more in three of the past four games and has played 25 minutes or more in each game. In the current starting lineup for the Hornets, Graham is holding a 19.8% usage rate, while producing 0.82 FanDuel points per minute. His per-minute production is under 1.00 since he can be rather inconsistent with filling up the stat sheet but he remains a high-upside play for a few reasons.

First off, the Hornets (15th) are in a pace-up spot against the Wizards, who are the fastest-paced team in the league. Next, Graham has attempted 41 three-pointers since entering the starting lineup four games ago, which is absolutely insane. Averaging 10 three-pointers per game grants him an immense scoring ceiling. That scoring potential could be on display tonight since this game features a slate-high 229.5-point over/under and a close 3.5-point spread. Everything about this matchup is pointing in the direction of Graham exceeding value.

Marcus Morris, PF, Los Angeles Clippers ($4,500)

At only $4,500, Marcus Morris could be one of the best value options on the slate.

Morris has been in the starting lineup for the Los Angeles Clippers for the past few weeks and has been extremely productive along the way. Last night, we saw Paul George sit out due to a foot injury and should be considered questionable at best right now since they are on the second night of a back-to-back. Even if George does play tonight, it shouldn't be too much of an issue since Morris is producing 1.03 FanDuel points per minute in the Clippers' projected starting lineup.

All of his gives Morris a projection of 30.27 minutes and 25.0 FanDuel points, which makes him the second-best projected power forward tonight. However, he is the top-projected power forward who is under $5,000, helping ease roster construction on a night where the top stars are very expensive.
