3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 3/10/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Robin Lopez, C, Washington Wizards ($4,200)

The NBA is back and we start things off with a two-game slate on Wednesday night.

The Washington Wizards are on the road to take on the Memphis Grizzlies, where the over/under is set at 237 points, giving us a good game environment to target for fantasy production. Although we don't see Robin Lopez in the starting lineup for the Wizards, he is still a value option tonight. Lopez is projected for his normal 25.75 minutes off the bench and set to produce 21.2 FanDuel points. That makes him the best value option on the slate with a salary under $5,000.

This shouldn't come as a surprise since the Grizzlies are allowing 52.07 FanDuel points per game to opposing centers and this game has both squads in the top 11 of the league for the fastest offensive-paced teams. With no true elite option at center tonight, look to save some salary with Lopez and spend up elsewhere.

Derrick White, PG, San Antonio Spurs ($5,600)

The San Antonio Spurs are back to full-strength and set to take on the Dallas Mavericks tonight.

Prior to the All-Star break, the Spurs were without a number of players and that changed their rotation in a big way. All of those players are off of the NBA's health and safety protocol list, putting them back to full-strength. This should position Derrick White to be one of the most popular value plays on tonight's slate. I'll use the term value a bit loosely today since there are only two games and a limited number of options to choose from. This game against the Mavericks has a solid 223.5-point over/under and a close 4.0-point spread.

This season, White is producing 1.02 FanDuel points per minute on a 23.0% usage rate, both of which are in the top four on the Spurs. White is listed as a point guard but often plays shooting guard for the Spurs, which would put him in a good spot tonight. The Mavericks are allowing 40.85 FanDuel points per game to opposing shooting guards, which is right around the league average. This gives White a projection of 30.0 FanDuel points in 29.86 minutes of action, making him the best overall value option on the slate.

Dillon Brooks, SG, Memphis Grizzlies ($5,600)

Dillon Brooks provides plenty of consistency at an affordable salary tonight.

Brooks and the Grizzlies are playing in a pace-up spot tonight against the Wizards, which should be a great environment for fantasy production. Brooks lines up as the Grizzlies' small forward, making this a very favorable matchup for him. The Wizards are allowing the second-most (45.81) FanDuel points per game to opposing small forwards this season. This should give Brooks a consistent floor of points, which can be tough to find outside of the two top options -- Bradley Beal and DeMar DeRozan -- at shooting guard tonight.

Brooks is currently projected for 27.87 minutes and 28.3 FanDuel points, which makes him the fourth-best value option on the entire slate. Given all of these factors, expect Brooks to be a very popular option tonight.
