3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 2/10/21

Fresh off his first start of the year, E'Twaun Moore stands to benefit from Chris Paul's absence. Who else can help you get to tonight's high-dollar studs?

A major key to success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud or two, you need to consider squeezing one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup on DraftKings tonight.

Monte Morris, PG, Denver Nuggets

DraftKings Salary: $4,700

Monte Morris has been a very relevant fantasy option when Jamal Murray has missed time this year and last, but he's also spent a good bit of time beside him, too. Recently, he drew a start with Murray injured, and as soon as last game, he played 30 minutes, including 18 total minutes with the other also in the backcourt.

Gary Harris is going to be out again on Wednesday, and he will be joined by P.J. Dozier. That has and will lead to Morris slotting in at the two-guard for more than half of his minutes against the Cavaliers, who -- via NBA.com -- rank 16th in defensive rating on the year but 26th over the last five alone.

Morris provides a nice baseline with his ability to score and hand out assists. On a per-game basis, he has tallied 22.4 DK points in 29.3 minutes per night over the last four-game stretch. He should serve as a nice play, especially if Murray is limited in any way.

Marcus Morris, SF/PF, Los Angeles Clippers

DraftKings Salary: $4,500

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Clippers are set to be shorthanded without Paul George and with Patrick Beverley questionable to boot. The former will have a much bigger effect on the team's production and the slate at large, forcing you to ask yourself if you want to play Marcus Morris.

The veteran forward has been a valuable commodity for the Clips' bench, but he has not once made a start and only a single time has he played more than 28 minutes. He usually sits around the 25-to-28 minute mark, in that time accounting for 11.5 points, 19.3 DK points, and 0.8 per minute. However, he's done a lot more with his chances of late, going for at least 21.25 DK points in five of his last seven.

Morris has been limited in part by a couple blowouts and matchups with solid defenses, but the Minnesota Timberwolves should provide little resistance. They are without Karl-Anthony Towns and, as a byproduct, have allowed 120-plus points in four of the last eight. Morris is a solid play with the Clippers favored by nine, according to NBA Finals odds.

E'Twaun Moore, SG/SF, Phoenix Suns

DraftKings Salary: $4,300

Last time out, it was E'Twaun Moore who got the call in a start for the injured Chris Paul. In his 40 -- yes, 40 -- minutes of floor time, he turned in 17 points and 29.25 DK points. Devin Booker did most of the heavy lifting, but his outside shooting could come in handy versus the Bucks.

Milwaukee is understandably favored on the road, but they are without Jrue Holiday and will boost Phoenix in pace, averaging 101.9 possessions a game to the Suns' 97.4. That could lead to another game in which Moore and company score north of 115 points even if they do come out on the losing end.

You'll want to steer clear of Moore if news breaks of a Paul return, but if he is out, he makes for a great stacking mate alongside Booker. You could do a lot worse for someone you only need to return 21.5 DK points for value.
