DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Tuesday 2/2/21

With six games to choose from on Tuesday's slate -- which locks at 7:00 p.m. EST -- let's look at the top options across all five positions for NBA DFS.

Be sure to check out our projections, which are updated throughout the day as news breaks, and our other DFS tools such as advanced stats and a matchup heat map.

Here are some of the top plays on today's DraftKings slate. As always, good luck.

Point Guard

Damian Lillard ($10,700) -- Tuesday's larger-than-typical slate starts and should end with the game in Washington. While there could be some other high-scoring games, particularly with the star-power between the Los Angeles Clippers and Brooklyn Nets, the Trail Blazers and Wizards are primed to the tune of a 240.5 over/under, per NBA Finals odds. The combination of Washington's 105.3 pace and 29th-ranked defense (per NBA.com) will feed into the hands of Lillard, who draws a team ranked dead last against point guards, according to FantasyPros. An elevated usage as a result of C.J. McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic remaing out could and should lead him to a top-three finish on the night.

Russell Westbrook ($9,100) -- In a true showdown of offensive point guards, Westbrook stands to benefit, as Portland gives up 54.6 DraftKings points per game to point guards, trailing only -- you guessed it -- the Wizards. When considering salary, though, a massive discount points to Brodie as the better point-per-dollar play tonight. He is fresh off a 73.5-point fantasy night versus Brooklyn, and he only adds fuel to the fire that is an all-out game stack between two defensively-challenged squads.

Shooting Guard

Bradley Beal ($9,900) -- It's risky, but allocating at least 38% of salary cap to some combination of Lillard, Westbrook, and Beal might not be the worst idea when building your lineup. After all, while both point guards are in great spots, Beal is enjoying a career year, averaging a league-best 34.9 points per game (4.0 better than the next-closest player) on a 36.6% usage rate -- 2.5% higher than a year ago -- that has ballooned to an even higher 38.3% over the last five games. Beal's minutes and workload are tailormade for a game with this level of fantasy appeal.

Anfernee Simons ($4,300) -- There are a few B- to C-tier options to choose from on the Portland wing. Without McCollum, not to mention Derrick Jones Jr. also sitting, there are minutes to be had at the two and three, and Simons is one of the guys who could step up again. He has played 23 or more minutes in four straight and no fewer than 27 over the last three, all while putting up 24.4 DraftKings points on a nice 21.4% usage rate. You could do a lot worse than him around this $4,000 range.

Small Forward

Jaylen Brown ($7,800) -- Brown isn't a top priority, and that goes twofold for tournaments. He is a much great cash-game play mainly because of a steep dropoff in his salary. He was more than $1,100 higher less than two weeks ago, and while Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker are back in the lineup, he is still having a career year and posting 43.4 DraftKings points a night. The Golden State Warriors are back to winning games in recent days and weeks, but their near 104 pace ranks third in the league, and they give up a combined 47.2 points per game to shooting guards and small forwards. There's no reason to sleep on Brown as the steal he is tonight.

Rodney Hood ($3,500) -- Again, you want Portland players against Washington's horrendous defense. Choosing which players is an issue, but if you don't have the extra $800 to get to Simons -- or even more for Gary Trent Jr. -- Hood is getting enough run to throw him into a tournament lineup or two. The swingman has seen the court for at least 25 minutes in three of the last four, and it was only four games ago that he broke out for 21 points and 28 DraftKings points. It's a dart throw but a calculated one in the most appealing game of the night.

Power Forward

Pascal Siakam ($7,700) -- Siakam's peaks and valleys continue. After a very disappointing five- or six-game run, the 2020 all-star has come back with two good games in a row, averaging 31 points on the floor and 48.0 in the fantasy statsheet. OG Anunoby's continued absence has opened up opportunities for Siakam to step up more on both ends, having accounted for a block and three steals in Sunday's victory over this same Orlando Magic team. Count on him to do more of the same at a cap-friendly salary.

Davis Bertans ($4,700) -- The Wizards' stretch four hasn't been killing it of late, but this just feels like a game he should thrive in. The high over/under is one thing, yes, but the Blazers are just average against power forwards, while they rank 25th in both three-point makes and attempts against per game. Meanwhile, Bertans has taken more than 85% of his shots from downtown, and he's converted with at least four on five occasions, averaging 15.4 a game in that small sample.

Center

Chris Boucher ($4,900) -- Alert, alert! Boucher is a tournament-play only, but he's a great one at that. Although he has fallen off the map of late, it wasn't long ago that he produced 28.75 DraftKings points across 30 minutes, and before that he was rocking games north of 40. His per-minute output stands at 1.27 DraftKings points, and if he's on point with his shot, he could do a ton with anything more than 20 minutes. It's likely that he loses you cash games, but there is a slim chance he pulls down a GPP for someone if the game script plays out right.

Moritz Wagner ($3,800) - The more the merrier, right? Or should I say, how many Wizards are too many Wizards? Whatever cliché you want to grab on to, please do yourself a favor and follow it. While the likes of Westbrook and Beal are a big commitment, Wagner should see 20-plus minutes and provide the salary relief you need for the 60-point upside at the guard spots. Plus, Thomas Bryant is already out for the season, and with the Wizards in the bottom of the East, it's likely we see more Wagner to the detriment of Robin Lopez. Averaging above a DraftKings-point-per-minute, he requires a mere 19 minutes to get the job done in this spot.
