3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 1/26/21

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Kevin Huerter, SG, Atlanta Hawks ($4,800)

The Atlanta Hawks have a few injuries to keep track of tonight, and that opens up some value.

The Hawks have Bogdan Bogdanovic listed as out, Cam Reddish listed as probable, and Danilo Gallinari, Trae Young, and Clint Capela all listed as questionable. With so many question marks in their lineup, Kevin Huerter comes in as the third-best value on the entire slate. He is projected for 32.36 minutes and 27.2 FanDuel points tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers, who are allowing the 15th most (41.76) FanDuel points per game to opposing shooting guards.

While Huerter can fail to fill up the stat sheet at times, he has plenty of scoring upside with his 5.6 three-point attempts per game, which is the second-highest on the team. With the Clippers missing Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, Huerter should have an easier time on the wing, allowing him to pile up the fantasy points.

Marcus Morris, PF, Los Angeles Clippers ($5,000)

The Clippers offer a ton of value options tonight due to Kawhil Leonard and Paul George both being out.

Marcus Morris generally plays off the bench for the Clippers, but due to Leonard and George out, we should see him in the starting five tonight. This should make him one of the chalkiest players on the slate for a few reasons. First off, this is a massive pace-up for the 29th-ranked Clippers because we see Atlanta sitting at 10th overall. Next, the Hawks are allowing 50.21 FanDuel points per game to opposing power forwards, which is the second-worst in the league.

All of this has Morris projected for 31.75 minutes and 27.8 FanDuel points, which would make him the fourth-best value option on the slate. Expect Morris to be extremely popular tonight in both cash games and tournaments.

Garrison Matthews, SF, Washington Wizards ($4,300)

With a 231.5 over/under, the Washington Wizards at Houston Rockets' game is a clear spot to target.

The Wizards have seven players listed as out tonight and one listed as questionable. This should put Garrison Mathews in a spot for plenty of minutes and the ability to reach value easily. Both teams are among the top seven for the fastest-paced teams in the league, which is reflected in the high over/under.

Although he isn't projected to be in the starting lineup, Matthews is expected to see 27 minutes off the bench, which is very strong for a player under $5,000. This game clearly has the highest fantasy equity, and you should look to have plenty of exposure to this game.
