DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Tuesday 12/29/20

With 10 games to choose from on Tuesday's slate, let's look at how to utilize the DFS possibilities.

Here are some of the top plays on DraftKings. As always, good luck.

Point Guard

Goran Dragic ($5,800) -- Dragic has started the season off hot -- just how he ended last year. He's averaging a hot 19.0 points, 8.0 assists, and 3.0 rebounds for 39.0 fantasy points per game through two games. In his postseason series versus the Milwaukee Bucks, Dragic averaged 19.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in 35.4 minutes per game. He remains a lower-salary play because of his role with this Miami Heat team, but it seems like he outproduces his salary on a nightly basis. He's averaging 1.04 fantasy points per minute to start the season and 1.17 in his last five games dating back to the postseason.

Collin Sexton ($6,900) -- Sexton is off to an impressive start for the 3-0 Cavs. Sexton is averaging 37.9 fantasy points per game on 27.0 points, 3.7 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game. He's scored at least real-world 22 points in all three games this year and 32 or more fantasy points in each. Cleveland is averaging the third-most points per game (122.3) through the first week of the season, and Sexton is a large part of that as he's tied for seventh with 27.0 points per game. He and teammate Darius Garland ($5,900) are both worth considering tonight.

Shooting Guard

D'Angelo Russell ($7,600) -- Russell posted 33.25 and 39.0 fantasy points in his first two outings before his dud in a blowout loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. D-Lo is averaging 1.23 fantasy points per minute, and a large part of his offense is his three-point game. D-Lo attempted 17 triples over his first two games and should hoist a bunch tonight. Our model projects him to total 38.2 fantasy points on 22.6 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.3 rebounds versus the Los Angeles Clippers.

RJ Barrett ($7,100) -- With the news of Alec Burks being out, Barrett could see a slight increase in usage. Through three games, Barrett has a 23.71% usage rate while Burks is at a 24.94% clip. He's hit 34 or more fantasy points in two of three games, a number that's attainable tonight versus the Cavs. Cleveland is without star Kevin Love tonight. Barrett can play multiple positions, and he's far better inside the three-point arc shooting than outside of it. Barrett made 1.1 three-point attempts last year on 30.4%, compared to 5.2 makes from two at a 40.2% mark. If he gets into the lane, Barrett could have a solid night versus the Cavs.

Small Forward

Khris Middleton ($7,700) -- Middleton has started the season well with averages of 26.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 6.0 assists on a 26.8% usage rate. Middleton is averaging 1.23 fantasy points per minute this year and 1.28 over his last five dating back to last postseason. This rematch with Miami will be an exciting and challenging game for him to keep his hot streak alive, but I think he's taking that step forward. He's made at least three triples in two of three games and shot 44% or better in all three games to start the season along with his usual peripheral contributions.

Kelly Oubre ($5,700) -- Oubre almost posted his first double-double of his Golden State Warriors career with eight points and 11 rebounds versus the Chicago Bulls. Oubre has struggled from deep, going 0 of 17 from three this year, but this may be the game he gets out of his slump. The Detroit Pistons allow opponents to hit the seventh-highest three-point percentage (37.7%) through three games and give up 14.7 threes per game. Oubre is rebounding well with 7.7 per game and had four steals in his last game, averaging 2.0 on the season. Oubre is doing everything but knocking down the three-ball, and Detroit is a quality opponent to get his shot to drop.

Power Forward

Nicolas Batum ($4,500) -- With Kawhi Leonard questionable, Batum's stock continues to rise. In his last outing, he had a letdown performance with 12.5 fantasy points in 22 minutes after a combined 60.5 fantasy points through two games. Part of that was thanks to the beatdown the Dallas Mavericks handed the Clippers, but in the two games Batum did play 28 or more minutes, he averaged 8.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists. He's a solid play even if Kawhi returns, but Batum would likely be more involved offensively if Leonard sits.

Otto Porter ($5,400) -- Porter Jr. is matched up with his former Washington Wizards squad and set for a decent positional battle he could win. He's recorded 20 or more fantasy points in all three games this campaign and has at least five boards in each. His minutes should increase as the season goes on as he's played only between 19 and 23 minutes thus far. He's averaging 0.97 fantasy points per minute and has yet to record a steal or block. Porter should be a reliable play at this salary and could have upside for more if his minutes rise.

Center

Mitchell Robinson ($5,600) -- Robinson is averaging 1.05 fantasy points per minute to start the season and posted back-to-back games of 23 or more fantasy points. He's recorded at least six rebounds in every game this year and is averaging 2.0 blocks and 1.0 steals. He played 35 minutes in the previous game and logged 23.25 minutes. Our model projects Robinson to record 27.9 fantasy points on 10.6 points and 7.9 rebounds versus Cleveland.

James Wiseman ($5,900) -- Wiseman had 18 and 19 real-world points in his first two games before posting seven in his last outing. He's played at least 23 minutes in three straight games and is averaging 1.10 fantasy points per minute to start his rookie campaign. Versus the Pistons, he could have a day and is fully capable of a double-double in this spot. Detroit allows the 7th-most points per game to centers (23.54) to start the season as well as the 10th-most rebounds per game (16.39).
