NBA Player Prop Bets to Target on Friday 10/9/20

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways, from taking advantage of them straight up (to the tune of cold hard cash), to measure a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy basketball.

While you can use those odds in fantasy, you can also utilize our fantasy projections and a variety of other tools to help make money betting everyday player props.

For this article, we are using the odds provided at FanDuel Sportsbook to pinpoint three spots where value can be had on a player's stat line, scoring, or even shot type.

Please note that betting lines and our game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

LeBron James, Double-Double and Lakers Win (-125)

LeBron James has averaged 27.8 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 8.5 assists in the series. James has double-doubled in three of four games with a performance of 33 points, nine assists, and nine rebounds being his only game without a double-double. The Los Angeles Lakers lead the Miami Heat 3-1 and are looking to close out the series.

This bet has hit in two of four games. James has at least double-doubled in 14 of 19 (73.6%) playoff games this season, and LA has won 11 of those 14 games. LeBron has played 39 minutes in three straight games, and he's played more minutes than that in only two postseason games total.

We should expect plenty of minutes in Game 5 unless the score gets lopsided, and we have the Lakers winning 58% of the time.

Rajon Rondo, Over 10.5 Rebounds and Assists (-111)

Rajon Rondo has hit the over on this prop in three straight games while his minutes have increased throughout the NBA Finals.

Rondo has played 28 minutes in two straight games, the third-most minutes he's played all postseason. He's averaged 6.9 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 14 total playoff games for the Lakers and hit the over on this prop in 8 of 14 games. In three of those six games he did not, Rondo recorded 10 combined rebounds and assists, falling just short of the hook for bettors.

Rondo's been a solid prop bet as he's done everything in these FInals, averaging 7.3 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.5 rebounds. Rondo's struggled from the field in the last two games, combining to go 3 of 15 (20%), but he's had 15 rebounds and 10 assists in that span.

The veteran floor general has been key for LA this series, and his minutes should be there in a potential close-out game.
