NBA Player Prop Bets to Target on Tuesday 9/22/20

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways, from taking advantage of them straight up (to the tune of cold hard cash), to measure a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy basketball.

While you can use those odds in fantasy, you can also utilize our fantasy projections and a variety of other tools to help make money betting everyday player props.

For this article, we are using the odds provided at FanDuel Sportsbook to pinpoint three spots where value can be had on a player's stat line, scoring, or even shot type.

Anthony Davis, Over 9.5 Rebounds (-140)

Anthony Davis has recorded nine and 10 rebounds in the first two games of the series. He's recorded nine or more boards in each of his last eight games. Davis has recorded at least nine rebounds in 11 of 12 games this postseason and totaled 10 or more in nine of 12.

numberFire's model predicts Davis to record 10.5 rebounds in 38 minutes during Game 3. Coming off his game-winning three-pointer, he should be riding a lot of momentum with the Los Angeles Lakers attempting to go up 3-0. The Lakers outrebounded the Denver Nuggets, 44-31, in Game 2 but lost the rebounding battle in Game 1, 37-34. Davis' 19 total rebounds is a series-high heading into Game 3, and in his four 2019-20 regular-season meetings versus Denver, he totaled 10 or more rebounds in three of them.

Jamal Murray, Over 24.5 Points (-116)

Jamal Murray averaged 18.5 points versus the Lakers in the regular season, scoring 6, 14, 22, and 32 points in those four meetings. In Games 1 and 2, he netted 21 points in 29 minutes and 25 points in 44 minutes. The Lakers were up 11 at halftime and 24 by the end of the fourth quarter in Game 1, which led to the shortened minutes for Murray.

In Game 2, he attempted 19 field goals and nine three-pointers -- up from 12 and five, respectively, in Game 1 -- on his way to hitting the over on this line. The Nuggets are down 2-0 and need the win tonight. The over is getting bet on here as the over opened at +100 and moved to -116 this morning, as everyone expects Murray to fire away in Game 3.

When Murray has played at least 40 minutes this postseason, he's averaged 32.0 points per game, compared to 14.6 points per game when he hasn't hit 40 minutes. numberFire's model projects Murray to record 25.0 points in 39.7 minutes tonight.
