DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Friday 3/6/20

With 10 games to choose from on tonight's NBA slate, let's take a look at how to utilize the DFS possibilities.

Here are some of the top plays on DraftKings. As always, good luck.

Point Guard

Marcus Smart ($6,500) -- Smart is averaging 40.8 fantasy points per game over his last five and 1.10 fantasy points per minute in that stretch. He's recorded 43 or more fantasy points in three of his last four and will see an increase in production with Gordon Hayward and Jaylen Brown out with injuries. Smart has played at least 30 minutes in nine straight games, averaging 18.7 points, 7.0 assists, and 4.0 rebounds in his last four. He's seen a 35.44% increase in fantasy points over his last five with all the injuries to Boston, and numberFire's model projects Smart with 34.1 fantasy points tonight. He recorded 43.8 fantasy points in Utah last week when the two teams met.

Goran Dragic ($5,900) -- The Miami Heat are set for a track meet with the New Orleans Pelicans tonight, and Dragic hasn't had many problems scoring in his last 10 games. Dragic has averaged 18.2 points in his last five and 17.6 points in his last 10. He's also averaging 1.12 fantasy points in his last five and 1.04 in his last 10 contests. The Pelicans rank 27th versus point guards, allowing 49.62 fantasy points per game, and rank 22nd in points (24.68). New Orleans has allowed 122 points per game (28th), and Dragic has shot 40% or better in six of his last 10 games and 33% or better in all 10 from the field.

Shooting Guard

Kevin Huerter ($5,600) -- Huerter has averaged 29.6 fantasy points per game in two meetings with the Wizards this season, scoring 17 points and grabbing 4.5 rebounds. He's averaging 0.91 fantasy points per minute over his last five games and 30.64 fantasy points per game. He's playing well above his season average (25.22) for Atlanta and faces a favorable positional matchup. Washington allows the most fantasy points per game to shooting guards (46.81) and the fifth-most to point guards (24.72). numberFire's model pegs Hureter for 25.2 fantasy points tonight, but I like his upside versus a Wizards team allowing 120.6 points per game in their last five (25th).

Malik Beasley ($5,900) -- Beasley is averaging 0.96 fantasy points per minute over his last five games and 30.46 fantasy points per game. His fantasy points per game average is the fourth-largest increase (+73.50%) of any player on the slate tonight. The Magic rank 12th to shooting guards in fantasy points per game (41.14), but they've allowed 121 points per game over their last five (T-26th). Beasley and the Timberwolves are equally as bad, allowing 123 points per game (29th) to their opponents in their last five, and Beasley has scored 20.8 points per game in his last five. He's made 19 of his last 27 shots (70.3%) and 8 of his last 13 three-pointers (61.5%). Back Beasley for his third straight game of 30 or more fantasy points.

Small Forward

Jayson Tatum ($10,000) -- The Celtics will be down Brown and Hayward tonight, so Tatum and Kemba Walker ($7,600) become must-plays. Tatum ranks ahead of Walker for me based off Walker's minute restrictions, plus the fact Tatum has averaged 54.42 over his last five games. He's surpassed 50 in four of his last five and seven of his last 10 games overall. Tatum is averaging 1.47 fantasy points per minute over his last five and exploded on the Jazz in their only meeting this year, posting 53.3 fantasy points. Boston will be home, and Tatum recorded 64.25 fantasy points in his lone home game since the All-Star break, posting 32 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Danilo Gallinari ($6,100) -- Gallinari has recorded 33 or more fantasy points in three of his last four games and made three or more three-pointers in all four. He's scored 19 or more real-life points in three of his last four games, and this will be his first meeting with the Knicks this season. He's averaged 20.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in his last four games, shooting 46% or better in three of those four. The Knicks are allowing 114.4 points per game over their last five (T-17th), and the Thunder aren't far behind with 115.8 (21st). Expect points to fly tonight, and Gallinari's projected to record 30.5 fantasy points.

Power Forward

John Collins ($8,500) -- Collins is averaging 43.23 fantasy points per game over his last 10 for the Hawks and has a solid matchup tonight. The Wizards rank 14th versus power forwards, allowing 47.35 fantasy points per game, but they're also 25th in rebounds (11.69) and 29th in turnovers (3.25). Collins has grabbed double-digit rebounds in his last three games and combined for 11 turnovers in that stretch. If he can avoid the turnovers, which seem very possible tonight, then he can surpass his 37.6 fantasy points per game average in his two meetings with Washington. Collins is projected to post 41.6 fantasy points on 21.2 points and 10.6 rebounds.

Carmelo Anthony ($5,600) -- Melo is coming off a 35.25-point fantasy performance with Damian Lillard in the lineup versus the Orlando Magic and faces a familiar foe tonight. The Phoenix Suns rank 17th versus power forwards, allowing 48.43 fantasy points per game, and in two meetings with Phoenix, he has surpassed his fantasy average on the season (28.2). He's recorded 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 32.4 fantasy points versus the Suns, and he's averaging 0.85 fantasy points per game over his last 10. Anthony and the Blazers are on the road, and he averaged 11.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in their most recent three-game road trip for 22.75 fantasy points per game.

Center

Bam Adebayo ($8,200) -- Adebayo has surpassed 40 fantasy points in seven of his last 10 games and is currently averaging 1.37 fantasy points per game over his last 10. The Pelicans currently rank 14th versus centers with 52.94 fantasy points per game, and Adebayo recorded 51.5 fantasy points in the first meeting, scoring 18 points, grabbing 14 rebounds, and dishing 4 assists. He's double-doubled in four of his last five and seven of his last 10 contests. numbeFire's model projects him with 40.2 fantasy points on 16.1 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 5.0 assists.

Myles Turner ($5,200) -- Turner has been playing well since the All-Star break, putting together a seven-game string of performances that have increased his fantasy points per game to 27.3 per game. In four of his last five games, he's posted 30 or more fantasy points. Turner is also averaging 1.01 fantasy points per minute in his last five games. Turner met with Chicago once this season and recorded 27 points and 14 rebounds -- his best performance of the season. Chicago ranks 27th versus opposing centers, allowing 57.26 fantasy points per game, and they're 28th in points per game (23.57).
