DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Tuesday 3/3/20

With eight games to choose from on tonight's NBA slate, let's take a look at how to utilize the DFS possibilities.

Here are some of the top plays on DraftKings. As always, good luck.

Point Guard

Terry Rozier ($6,100) -- Devonte' Graham is out for the Charlotte Hornets, making Rozier the primary ball-handler, and he's averaged 0.81 fantasy points per minute over his last five games. Rozier had 20.3 fantasy points in 34.6 minutes of action in his only meeting with the Spurs. The Spurs are ranked 23rd in fantasy points per game to point guards (48.88), 23rd in assists (8.39), and 25th in real-life points (24.78). Rozier has surpassed 35 fantasy points or two of his last three games and recorded at least 13 points and seven combined rebounds and assists in three-straight games. numberFire's model projects Rozier to record

Lonzo Ball ($7,300) -- Ball and the New Orleans Pelicans are in a good spot to put up the most points they've scored all season. The Minnesota Timberwolves are allowing 128 points per game in their last five and both teams currently rank top-five in pace factor this season. Ball is up to 1.10 fantasy points per minute in his last five, and 38.62 fantasy points per game in those contests. Ball was one rebound and one assist short of triple-double in his last game, and he's averaged 9 assists and 6.6 rebounds in addition to 10.2 points per game over his last five. He totaled 25.5 fantasy points in the first meeting, and he's surpassed that every time in his last 10 outings.

Shooting Guard

Norman Powell ($5,700) -- Powell returned to the Toronto Raptors lineup over the weekend, and recorded 31.6 fantasy points in his first two games back. He's averaged 27.34 fantasy points per game in his last five and Powell's usage rate remains +8.51% over his last five games (22.80%). Powell has averaged 18 field goal attempts in his two games and 38 minutes. Their opponent, the Phoenix Suns, are ranked 20th in fantasy points per game to shooting guards (41.83) and 24th in real-life points (23.47). The Raptors are down two big men and are playing through Powell and Pascal Siakam ($8,700) offensively so back the Raptors leading scorers the past two games.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($7,000) -- The Oklahoma City Thunder welcome the Los Angeles Clippers to town, and Gilgeous-Alexander is in line for his third meeting versus his former team. He's averaging 29.8 fantasy points per game in two meetings, and 36.8 fantasy points per game at home this season. Gilgeous-Alexander has averaged 1.03 fantasy points per minute exceeded his 35.4 fantasy average in three of his last five games. numberFire's model projects him with 35.3 fantasy points tonight versus his former squad.

Small Forward

DeMar DeRozan ($7,400) -- DeRozan is doing a little of everything for the San Antonio Spurs right now as they're down two key pieces to their interior offense and defense. LaMarcus Aldridge and Jakob Poeltl, are out for San Antonio, and DeRozan has had to record over 35 fantasy points in three of his last five games. He's averaging 38.5 on the season versus Charlotte, and this will be the second meeting between the two. DeRozan is averaging 1.10 fantasy points per minute over his last 10 games, and the Hornets are middle of the pack when it comes to defense versus shooting guards and small forwards. The Hornets rank 13th versus small forwards allowing 40.13 fantasy points per game, and 15th versus shooting guards with 41.24. He's recorded at least five rebounds and five assists apiece in three of his last five games.

Paul George ($7,100) -- George returns to Oklahoma City where he played two years of his career. George was in a four-game slump before breaking out of it in his last two games. George exceed 34 fantasy points in both games, scoring 24 real-life points apiece. He's played 27.5 minutes over the last two games, and shooting 10-for-16 from deep (62.5%). He met the Thunder twice this season and averages just 29.1 fantasy points per game. numberFire projects George to record 35.2 fantasy points on 19.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4 assists versus his former team.

Power Forward

Zion Williamson ($7,700) -- Williamson has brought the Pelicans points per game average up to 119.8 points per game in the last 15 overall, ranking third across the league. He's been on an impressive scoring stretch for New Orleans, and he's done enough in other areas to become of the must-have fantasy players. Over his last 10 games, he's averaged 1.27 fantasy points per minute, and in his last five games overall he's averaged 37.88 fantasy points per game. Minnesota ranks 18th versus power forwards allowing 48.38 fantasy points per game, and 21st in points per game with 22.60. The Wolves defense should have no answers for Zion tonight, and numberFire's model pegs him with 39.5 projected fantasy points.

PJ Washington ($5,100) -- Washington is averaging 0.80 fantasy points per minute in his last five, and without Aldridge and Poeltl, Washington should see an increase in minutes and fantasy points versus the Spurs. He's scored double-figures in three-straight games and recorded at least five rebounds as well. Washington has surpassed his 25.6 fantasy average in five of the last six games as the hornets are playing their best basketball of the season. He's a low-risk reward tonight, and his DK value has steadily increased for the last 10 games.

Center

DeAndre Jordan ($5,400) -- Jordan has recorded eight or more rebounds in eight of his last 10 games and recorded four double-doubles in that span. Jordan is averaging 1.12 fantasy points per minute over his last 10 games, and his usage rate is at 14.49% over the last five games for Brooklyn. He's recorded 20 or more fantasy points in seven of his last 10 games, and numberFire's model projects Jordan with 25.9 fantasy points on 8.3 points and 9.7 rebounds tonight. Jordan is averaging more fantasy points on the road (28.3) than at home (23.4) this season.

Rui Hachimura ($5,300) -- Hachimura has scored double-digits in nine of his last 10 games for the Washington Wizards and recorded five or more rebounds in seven of those 10 outings. Hachimura is averaging 0.90 fantasy points per minute in his last 10 games and his usage rate over the last five games is up from 19.84% to 21.64%. He's recorded at least 15 points and 7 rebounds in two-straight games, and his opponent tonight is without a true center. He's played 30 or more minutes four times in his last six games, and numberFire's model predicts 24.7 fantasy points on 13.6 points and 5.7 rebounds tonight in 29.35 minutes.
