3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on 2/4/20

Eric Gordon is set to be in the starting lineup with Russell Westbrook listed as doubtful tonight. Which other players offer a bit of value?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-priced options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at five players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Eric Gordon, SG, Houston Rockets ($4,900)

With only four games on tonight's NBA slate, we are searching for value and that should lead us a few directions.

The major news for this slate is that Houston Rockets' point guard Russell Westbrook is listed as doubtful for tonight's game against the Charlotte Hornets. This not only opens up a bit of value but also a ton of offensive usage that needs to be accounted for. We also know that Clint Capela is ruled out for this game, changing their starting lineup even further. All of this means that Eric Gordon is not only in a spot for plenty of minutes but could very well be in the starting lineup tonight.

We have him projected for 32 minutes and set to produce 25.0 FanDuel points tonight, making him the third-best value option among small forwards tonight. This game against the Hornets has an over/under sitting at 224 points, so we should be in for plenty of offense on both sides.

Donte DiVincenzo, SG, Milwaukee Bucks ($4,600)

The Milwaukee Bucks at New Orleans Pelicans game is a fantasy dream tonight, and you want plenty of exposure here.

The over/under for this game is sitting at a staggering 245 points -- one of the highest we've seen at any point this season -- setting this up to be a fantastic fantasy environment. Both teams come into this game playing at a very fast pace, sitting as the fastest and fourth-fastest teams, respectively. This makes several of the second-tier players viable tonight, one of which is Donte DiVincenzo.

DiVincenzo comes off the bench for the Bucks and generally plays when Giannis Antetokounmpo is off the court. This is massive, since DiVincenzo doesn't have to compete with a player who takes so much of the offensive usage. When Antetokounmpo is off the court, DiVincenzo sees a 4.1% increase in his usage -- up to 20.9% -- while producing 1.09 FanDuel points per minute -- an increase of 0.13 per minute.

Cody Zeller, C, Charlotte Hornets ($4,900)

Cody Zeller has been very productive as of late and can continue that trend tonight.

Zeller has produced 26 FanDuel points or more in four straight games, where three of those games have been over one FanDuel point per minute. That's solid production for a player who isn't playing over 30 minutes per game and is now splitting time with Guillermo Hernangomez at the center spot. Zeller is up against the Rockets tonight -- who have Capela ruled out -- making their lineup just a bit smaller.

The Rockets come into this game at 24th in defensive rebounding rate and are going to be without their center. Charlotte, on the other hand, is sitting at 11th in offensive rebounding rate, putting Zeller in a spot to rack up easy FanDuel points. Zeller is very fairly priced tonight, and with this being a pace-up spot for the Hornets, he should have plenty of opportunities to exceed value.
