DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Monday 12/30/19

John Collins is producing big numbers with Trae Young out of the lineup. Is he going to continue that tonight against the Magic?

With six games to choose from on tonight's NBA slate, let's take a look at how to utilize the DFS possibilities.

Here are some of the top plays and sleepers on DraftKings. As always, good luck.

Point Guard

C.J. McCollum ($6,600) -- McCollum recorded three-straight games of 30 real points or more, then 22.2 points over his next four games. McCollum hasn't had much success in rebounding or finding teammates. In his last four games, he hasn't recorded more than four rebounds or assists and he's attempted at least 20 shots in five of the last seven games. Our model projects McCollum with 22 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists tonight at home versus the Phoenix Suns.

Ricky Rubio ($7,200) -- Rubio is second in the league with 9.2 assists and he's recorded at least eight assists in 13 of the last 14 games. He's averaged 37.6 fantasy points over his last four games and scored 20 points in three of those four. In his last three road games, he's averaging 18.6 points, 6.6 assists, and 3 rebounds. Rubio is projected by our model to finish with 14.6 points, 8.4 assists, and 4.7 rebounds.

Shooting Guard

Devin Booker ($7,500) -- Tonight's game in Portland between the Suns and Blazers -- two top-11 ranked teams in pace factor -- should be the perfect spot for Booker to regain his stroke. The Suns rank 10th in pace (104.8), 1st in assists per game (28.1), 6th in points per game (114), and 16th in made threes (12.2) per game. Booker averages 24.7 on the season and has now posted back-to-back 30-point games, dropping 32 and 34 on the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings. He's averaging 32.4 points in his last five road games and has a favorable matchup tonight for his third-straight 30-point game.

Jimmy Butler ($7,800) -- Butler has scored 20 points or more in three-straight games and he's averaged 21.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists in those contests. He's doing it all for the Miami Heat and on the road, he's averaging higher numbers at 21.1 points, 31.1-percent from deep, and 86-percent from the free throw line. The Washington Wizards allow a league-worst 121.5 points and have the fourth-best 116.4 points per game. Butler and the Heat will need points to get a road win and Butler has been scoring plenty of them.

Small Forward

Evan Fournier ($6,000) -- Fournier has recorded two-straight games of 20-plus points and he's averaging 19.4 points and 52.4-percent from the field at home. The Orlando Magic have to fill Aaron Gordon's shoes as he's out with an Achilles injury. Fournier has been the Magic's leading scorer and three-point shooter hitting 2.7 threes per game. Fournier and Nikola Vucevic ($7,900) are the two candidates to replace Gordon's production.

Kelly Oubre ($6,700) -- Oubre had a monster performance in his last game scoring 20 points,16 rebounds and 5 assists on 8 for 14 shooting. Oubre is on the road tonight and he's averaging 18.3 points and 45.4-percent from the field away from home. Oubre has averaged 31.7 fantasy points over his last 10 games and if Booker is keyed on tonight after his consecutive 30-point games then look for Oubre to be the main beneficiary.

Power Forward

John Collins ($8,700) -- Collins has had a successful three games back from suspension, averaging 23.3 points and 11.3 rebounds for the Atlanta Hawks. With the latest news of Trae Young missing time, he will be the go-to guy offensively and defensively in Atlanta. On the road this season, Collins is averaging 27.3 points and 8.8 rebounds in four games, including 30.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in his last two road contests. Collins is worth a spot in your lineup every night as the only threat for the Hawks.

Carmelo Anthony ($5,300) -- Melo has averaged 16 points, 7 rebounds and gone 19 for 44 (43.1%) over his last three games. The Blazers have the edge in the rebounding department over the Suns and both teams are two of the fastest-paced teams in the league. Melo has grabbed eight or nine boards in five last nine games and he's a double-double threat versus the 25th ranked defense in the paint (50.5).

Center

Nikola Vucevic ($7,900) -- Vucevic has averaged 19 points and 9.4 rebounds over his last seven games and without Aaron Gordon in the lineup, he should see an increase in usage. The Magic center will face off with Hawks' John Collins at home where Vucevic averages 20.3 points and 11.9 rebounds. He's double-doubled in three of the last six games and five of his last 10. He'll be a nightly 20 point and 10 rebound a night threat.

Hassan Whiteside ($7,100) -- Whiteside recorded four double-doubles, 12.8 points and 15.4 rebounds in his past five games. He's shot 50-percent or high in his last four games and faces a Suns team led by Aron Baynes ($4,900) down low. Whiteside is a lock for a double-double at home where he averages 15.3 points and 15.4 rebounds. The Suns are 24th in rebounding (43.1) and the Blazers are 6th (46.4). Expect Whiteside and the Blazers to dominate the boards tonight.
