3 NBA Player Prop Bets to Target on Tuesday 12/17/19

Can Nikola Vucevic post a big statline in his second game back from injury? What prop bets do our models like for tonight's NBA slate?

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways, from taking advantage of them straight up (to the tune of cold hard cash), to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy basketball.

While you can use those odds in fantasy, you can also utilize our fantasy projections and a variety of other tools to help make money on betting everyday player props.

For the purposes of this article, we are using the odds provided at FanDuel Sportsbook to pinpoint three spots where value can be had on a player's stat line, scoring, or even shot type.

Please note that betting lines and our game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

Jarrett Allen, Over 10.5 Rebounds

Jarrett Allen has recorded 10 or more rebounds in 10 of his last 11 games, with the only game under double-digits coming in his last performance against the 76ers. He's gone over 10 rebounds in six of 10 games, but just once of the last 5. Tonight, the Nets are on the road in New Orleans in what should be a favorable game for Allen in the rebounding department. The Pelicans are 20th in rebounding, and the Nets are 5th -- with Allen and DeAndre Jordan spearheading Brooklyn on the boards.

The Pelicans and Nets play at the fourth and ninth-fastest pace in the league, respectively, making this a potential track meet with tons of shots and rebounding opportunities. I like Allen to record his first double-double in three games and to hit the over on 10.5 rebounds.

Nikola Vucevic, Over 26.5 Points + Rebounds

Nikola Vucevic looked good in his first game back from injury for the Magic on Sunday, posting 20 points and 9 rebounds in 29 minutes. Tonight, they continue their road trip against the Utah Jazz -- an opponent he had success against last season. Vuceviz played Utah twice last year and recorded 15 points and 19 rebounds in the first meeting, and 20 points and 8 rebounds in the second.

Both teams play at slower paces than the league average, though we should see our fair share of blows between Rudy Gobert and Vucevic tonight. Vucevic's over/under is an appealing 15.5 for points and 9.5 for rebounds -- both of which he normally tops. On the season, he's averaging 17.3 points and 11.4 rebounds. If Vuceivic is 100 percent healthy, he should surpass 26.5 with ease.

Marcus Morris, Over 5.5 Rebounds

Marcus Morris has been a nice surprise for the New York Knicks this season as he's averaging 18.7 points, which leads the team. He's been a consistent three-point shooter, with at least one make in 15-straight games. Lately, Morris has been hitting the glass at a higher rate. Over his last three games, he's grabbed 5 rebounds twice and 10 once, bringing his season average to 5.8 per game. The Knicks host the Hawks tonight -- a team that is 28th in rebounding.

Morris and teammate Julius Randle are strong options to top their rebounding totals tonight, and with Morris' line at 5.5, I'll back the over.
