DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Tuesday 12/10/19
With four games to choose from on tonight's NBA slate, let's take a look at how to utilize the many DFS possibilities. Here are some of the top plays and sleepers on DraftKings. As always, good luck.
Point Guard
Devonte' Graham ($8,400) -- Graham has scored 22.6 points over his last five games to go along with 8.6 assists. He's been on fire all season with 18.8 points per game and 37.6 fantasy points per game. Graham is sixth in the NBA with 7.8 assists per game including eight or more in eight of the last nine. Graham recorded 19 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds in the first meeting with the Wizards. Graham is projected to record 15.5 points and 6.4 assists, according to our model.
Kendrick Nunn ($5,400) -- Nunn is one of the rookie surprises this season, but the inconsistency has kicked in. The past two games, however, Nunn has got back on track with 32 points on 12 of 15 shooting, both wins for the Heat. With the Heat being banged up right now, Nunn is trending towards his first 20-point game in 10 contests, and Miami is home against the slumping Hawks.
Shooting Guard
Tyler Herro ($8,100) -- Herro came up clutch in the Heat's last game, an overtime win versus the Bulls, scoring 27 points including 11 in overtime. With Goran Dragic, Justise Winslow and Bam Adebayo all out, the Heat will look for scoring to come from anyone. Nunn and Herro will have their shots tonight to go along with Jimmy Butler ($9,100). Herro has scored 22 and 27 in his past two games and can make it three straight versus the Hawks, who allow the third-most points per game (117.3).
RJ Barrett ($5,500) -- Barrett's price has dropped drastically as the Knicks continue to get worse. Barrett is averaging 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 22 starts for New York. He's one of the primary scorers for the Knicks and has been a force on the boards, recording seven or more rebounds in 8 of 22 games. Barrett is a low-risk, high-reward option for a team that will likely be down by double-digits at some point tonight.
Small Forward
Carmelo Anthony ($5,600) -- This is Melo's first game against the Knicks since 2017, when he played two games against them as a member of the Thunder. He averaged 17 points on 34.2 percent shooting in one win and one loss. This time around, he's on the Blazers and putting up 15.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in 10 starts. Tonight in Portland, Melo will want to score and put on a show against his former team, who just fired their coach not even a week ago.
Jimmy Butler ($9,100) -- Butler has recorded 20 or more points in his past five games and triple-doubled twice during that stretch. He's averaging 52.9 fantasy points in the last five and without three crucial starters against the Hawks, he will be ball dominant. Expect Butler to continue his hot stretch, especially at home, where the Heat are 10-0 and now face a 6-17 Hawks team that's just 3-9 on the road. Butler is projected to finish with 24.5 points, 5.9 assists and 5.7 rebounds tonight.
Power Forward
Julius Randle ($6,400) -- The Knicks have the worst record in the NBA and are currently on a nine-game losing streak as they head into Portland. Randle and the Knicks looked horrid down the stretch versus the Pacers, and Randle had a chance late to send the game in overtime but missed the game-tying free throw. Randle is second on the team in points per game with 16.7 and leads in rebounding with 8.6 per game.
Rui Hachimura ($6,500) -- In the past six games, Hachimura has averaged 19.8 points and 7.1 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field. He's averaged 33.7 fantasy points in those six contests and has raised his season fantasy average to 25.7 per game. Against the Hornets tonight, these two squads enter as the worst rebounding teams, giving Hachimura his best shot at his first double-double since opening night and the second of his career.
Center
Nikola Jokic ($9,000) -- Jokic has finally found the bottom of the net his past two games, scoring 24 and 30 and double-doubling in two losses for the Nuggets. He's been very good in Philadelphia, including a game-winner earlier in the season. Jokic has attempted 21 shots in each of his past two games, and he'll be smothered in the paint by Joel Embiid ($9,500) and Al Horford ($6,600), so expect an all-around game from Jokic tonight. He's projected to record 19.1 points, 10.8 rebounds and 7.1 assists.
Damian Jones ($4,700) -- Jones could be the steal of the night because of the issues with the Heat right now. If you believe like I do that he can attack their interior and make his presence felt without Adebayo playing, then he is a must play. Before his last game against the Hornets, Jones recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds in back-to-back games, and he's recorded at least 20 fantasy points in three straight. He should be your final roster spot selection.
