3 NBA Player Prop Bets to Target on Friday 11/8/19

It's been bombs away for Andrew Wiggins so far this year. Will he make two three-pointers tonight and hit the over on his prop bet?

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways, from taking advantage of them straight up (to the tune of cold hard cash), to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy basketball.

While you can use those odds in fantasy, you can also utilize our fantasy projections and a variety of other tools to help make money on betting everyday player props.

For the purposes of this article, we are using the odds provided at FanDuel Sportsbook to pinpoint three spots where value can be had on a player's statline, scoring, or even shot type.

Please note that betting lines and our game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

Andrew Wiggins, Over 1.5 Made Threes

Andrew Wiggins has been chucking from deep this year, averaging eight three-point attempts per game over his last five games while averaging 3.2 makes per game. Wiggins has attempted at least six triples in each of his last five games and has made fewer than three just once.

The Timberwolves host the Golden State Warriors tonight in what should be a three-point affair. Our model predicts Wiggins to hit 2.1 triples in this one. Minnesota is 4th in the NBA with 288 three-point attempts in seven games (41.1) and 14th in total makes with 94 (13.4). The Wolves are also ninth in the NBA in scoring off threes with 34.5 percent of their points coming off triples.

Malcolm Brogdon, Under 5.5 Rebounds

Malcolm Brogdon has been a focal point in the Indiana Pacers' offense without Victor Oladipo. He's averaging season highs with Indiana in points (22.3), assists (9.9) and rebounds (5.0) in eight games as the starting point guard.

Brogdon's rebound prop tonight of 5.5 is a number he hasn't topped in five of eight games, including three in a row. He's averaged 4.8 rebounds in his last four games, with three straight games of 8 boards before that. This is his third game against the Pistons, and he grabbed three rebounds in the first game and eight in the second.

The Pacers are tied for 24th in pace (102.8), and their opponent, the Detroit Pistons, is 23rd (102.9). Expect a slow and low-scoring game, with Andre Drummond and Domantas Sabonis eating up most of the rebounds tonight. Our model projects Brogdon for 3.9 rebounds.

Nikola Jokic, Over 16.5 Rebounds + Assists

Nikola Jokic has had a slower start to the season than he did last year, and tonight is a big challenge as he is facing Joel Embiid and the 76ers. In his only game against Embiid last year, he posted a triple-double of 27 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Jokic has two triple-doubles this season and is averaging 14.9 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 5.9 assists, compared to career-high marks last year of 20.1 points, 10.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists.

Our model projects Jokic with 19.9 points, 11.2 rebounds and 7.1 assists, giving him the over on 16.5 boards plus dimes. Jokic has topped 16.5 rebounds plus assists only twice this season out of seven games, but the Nuggets get Gary Harris back tonight, which will give back Jokic his 1-2 punch at the guard position.
