FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Helper: Wednesday 10/30/19

With 11 games on tap for Wednesday, which players should be in your FanDuel player pool?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a bunch of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each position.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.

Shooting Guard

The top of the pool at shooting guard is pretty loaded, with James Harden ($11,000) and Bradley Beal ($9,500) squaring off in the game with the night's highest over/under (231.5) and Devin Booker ($8,500) and D'Angelo Russell ($8,400) in the game just below that (229.5).

Those four grade out top-six in my adjusted value projections among shooting guards, so it's a good night to spend up. Harden in particular has a high floor and ceiling combination, given his 36.7% usage rate. The other three rank as Russell, Beal, and Booker in my projections, but you can't go wrong building any of them into your lineups tonight.

My preferred salary-saving options are Josh Richardson ($6,000) against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Buddy Hield ($6,700) against the Charlotte Hornets, and Terrence Ross ($4,300) against the New York Knicks. Richardson and Hield project for more than 30 minutes at reasonable prices with 20.0% usage rates or better (Richardson is at 20.0% and Hield is at 25.2%)

Ross has played 23 minutes in consecutive games with 19 shot attempts combined in them. He is numberFire's third-best shooting guard value.
