NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Wednesday 4/24/19
Both of tonight's games offer a real chance of series-ending blowouts. Is it worth paying up for James Harden in what projects as the closer of the two games?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.

Best of the Best

James Harden ($11,800): After getting a great slate last night, with four games and a couple that projected to be close, Wednesday greets us with an ugly one. There's some blowout risk for Harden here, as the Houston Rockets are 8-point favorites to finish off the Utah Jazz, but that's nothing compared to the blowout risk of the 14-point spread between Golden State and the Clippers. Despite three of the four games in this series being decided by at least 16 points, Harden has still seen plenty of work, averaging 35.8 minutes and 22.3 field goal attempts per game, which has translated to three 50-plus fantasy point performances. His 51.9 FanDuel points per game in the series are the second-most for anyone in this year's playoffs so far. Big results from Harden are no surprise, either, as he finished the regular season ranked first in the NBA with 58.7 FanDuel points in 36.8 minutes per game. The Jazz have hurt his efficiency some, but with even bigger blowout risk in Wednesday's other game, it's worth paying up for Harden's elite floor and ceiling tonight.
