NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Saturday 4/13/19

Healthy home favorites versus the Clippers, the Dubs are pretty appealing on the first main slate of the playoffs. How should you handle the defending champs?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 2:30 p.m. EST and features four games.

Best of the Best

DeMarcus Cousins ($9,000): The Golden State Warriors are 12.5-point home favorites and have a massive 123.0-point implied team total. Cousins was protected for most of the year to ensure his health for the playoffs. Well, here we are. I believe that Cousins will play as many minutes that is necessary to secure each and every win. He averaged 1.55 FanDuel points per minute over the last month, tops in the NBA. Obviously, the Dubs have a few high-priced studs that are in play, but of the three Warriors in the top-10 of today's projections, per our models, Boogie is the cheapest.
