NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Monday 2/11/19

No stranger to high-upside games, Karl-Anthony Towns is in a terrific spot tonight against the Clippers.

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.

Best of the Best

James Harden ($13,300): Harden joins Wilt Chamberlain as the only players to score at least 30 points in more than 16-straight games. Chamberlain did it twice, and Harden has blown past that 16-game mark, hitting 29 on his current run. In that time he's averaging an absurd 66.8 FanDuel points per game, and while an injury designation isn't great, he's probable for tonight and is coming off a day of rest, meaning we don't need to be too concerned. The Dallas Mavericks own a top-10 defensive rating this season, but they're also now without DeAndre Jordan, who had a team-best 103 defensive rating in his 50 games in Dallas. That makes this matchup a lot softer than it used to be, and the Mavs don't pose much of a threat to slow Harden down.
