NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Saturday 2/9/19

Russell Westbrook is rolling, and the Thunder are squaring off against the Rockets in what should be a high-scoring affair. Who else should you target on Saturday's main slate?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 7:00 p.m. EST.

Best of the Best

Russell Westbrook ($12,000): Russ is on fire as of late, scoring at least 51.4 FanDuel points in seven of his last eight games and reaching the 60.0-fantasy-point mark in four of them. He has a triple-double in each of the last eight contests and has another chance to deliver in a high-profile showdown against James Harden and the Houston Rockets. The Oklahoma City Thunder are currently 2.0-point underdogs and have an implied team total of 116.5 points, the third-highest of the night. It's going to be a high-scoring game, and the potential is there for this one to go down to the wire. It all adds up to a dreamy spot for Westbrook.
