NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Sunday 12/2/18

Despite a tough matchup with Memphis, Joel Embiid can be a valuable anchor today. Which other players can you trust on Sunday?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 6:00 p.m. EST.

Best of the Best

Joel Embiid ($11,500): While the Philadelphia 76ers have a tough matchup on Sunday against the Memphis Grizzlies, Embiid has the highest ceiling out of all available players on the main slate. It's possible the matchup with Memphis might actually lower his ownership due to concerns about pace of play and scoring ceiling. But if that happens, it only makes Embiid a better tournament play due to the concern. He has been having an MVP-type season for Philadelphia and has scored at least 31 real-world points in five of the last eight games. His FanDuel scores have been 54.4 or higher in all five of those games.
