NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Monday 11/5/18

Anthony Davis is probable for tonight, and he's sporting a surprisingly low salary. Which other players should you look to on Monday?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.

Best of the Best

Anthony Davis ($11,800): No player is averaging within even 6 fantasy points of Davis' 60.4 FanDuel points per game this season, which is right in line with the 60.8 he averaged in 33 contests without DeMarcus Cousins last season. He has missed three of the New Orleans Pelicans' last five games with an elbow injury, but he is probable for tonight. With better than 39.5 minutes in each of the last two games in which he played, Davis' minutes shouldn't be limited. There's really nothing different about Davis now compared to a couple weeks ago when he was priced in the $13,000's for three consecutive games. He's out-producing everyone else by a big margin, and a discounted price-tag makes him tough to fade.
