3 NBA Prop Bets to Target on 6/8/18

Kevin Durant led the Golden State Warriors with 43 points in Game 3, but his assist total looks like a mighty tempting prop bet for Game 4. Which other props should we target on Friday night?

Prop betting odds can be useful in daily fantasy sports to help gauge the potential performance of a player on any given night in the NBA. Likewise, the same principles can be applied in the opposite direction -- by using our fantasy projections and models to help make more informed prop bets.

Using the odds available at BetOnline Sportsbook, here are three prop bets available for Wednesday night that are good plays based on our nightly NBA game projections.

Please note that Vegas lines and our game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

Golden State Warriors at Cleveland Cavaliers

Stephen Curry OVER 26.5 Points (-114)

Stephen Curry didn't have to do much in Game 3 with Kevin Durant dropping 43 points. However, our models seem to think that Curry could be the one to shine in Game 4 for the Warriors.

Over Curry's last seven closeout games in the playoffs -- which dates back to last year's championship run -- he is averaging 29.4 points per game. So far in these playoffs, Curry has scored no fewer than 27 points in three elimination games, and our models project him to destroy that mark with 34.0 points tonight.

Kevin Durant OVER 5 Assists (-114)

Kevin Durant scored or assisted on about half of the Golden State Warriors' points in Game 3, and one of the most impressive aspects of his big night was his seven assists.

For Game 4 on Friday, our models think Durant could rack up more helpers than his prop total suggests. Durant has at least 6 assists in every game this series, and for the playoffs, his assist rate is 19.0%. That jumps to 22.2% in the Finals, which has our models projecting Durant for 5.9 assists in Game 4.

Kevin Love Will Have AT LEAST 17 Points (-189)

Kevin Love has an 18.5-point total for Game 4 in Cleveland, and with the way he's been shooting in this series, that may be a bargain value for the over. However, if you can stomach a bit more chalk, you can make an at least bet on Love at 17 points at BetOnline, which might be a lock on Friday.

Love is averaging 21.0 points per game in the Finals, and he owns a 50.0% effective field goal percentage and a 24.7% usage rate over his last three games. At home in Game 4, our models project Love for 24.3 points, hopefully making 17 points a soft target.
