3 NBA Prop Bets to Target on 5/15/18

Our models see value in Kevin Love in Game 2. Which other prop bets are exploitable?

Prop betting odds can be useful in daily fantasy sports to help gauge the potential performance of a player on any given night in the NBA. Likewise, the same principles can be applied in the opposite direction -- by using our fantasy projections and models to help make more informed prop bets.

Using the odds available at BetOnline Sportsbook, here are three prop bets available for Wednesday night that are good plays based on our nightly NBA game projections.

Please note that Vegas lines and our game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics

Al Horford OVER 15.5 Points (-114)

Al Horford scored 20 points in just 27 minutes of action in Game 1, and our models envision the big man having another good scoring performance in Game 2.

The Cleveland Cavaliers' interior defense has really struggled in the playoffs, and Horford should be able to take advantage of that once again. Cleveland is allowing an average of 50.0 points in the paint per game this postseason, and we project Horford to produce 18.5 points tonight.

Kevin Love OVER 17.5 Points (+100)

Kevin Love was halted at 17 points in Game 1 thanks to the blowout, but if the Cavs can hang tougher in Game 2, Love could be in for a nice game.

Love is averaging 23.0 points per game over his last four, and he owns a true shooting percentage of 62.6% over that stretch. We forecast him for 22.0 points in Game 2, making him a smashing value with his total at 17.5.

Terry Rozier UNDER 5.5 Assists (-114)

The Boston Celtics won Game 1 with only 8 points and 8 assists for Terry Rozier, but if the other four Celtics' starters don't shoot lights out -- 30-for-49 (61.2%) -- Rozier probably wouldn't have had all those assists.

Our models don't think Rozier will have as many opportunities to create for his teammates. We project him to score the ball batter, pegging Rozier for 17.5 points, but he's projected for only 4.1 assists.
